So I recently read a thread and found out that newbie friendly doesn't mean what I thought it meant. I used to think it meant "inexperienced" such as myself or new to this hobby specifically, which it pretty much does mean that. But I found out it also means that providers are willing to toftt and use other forms to screen you. I found provider willing to see me and asked for a LinkedIn, which I don't have, or my Facebook which I don't feel safe giving out. But I thought of something I could possibly use if its ok with a provider.
To any provider who reads this would it be possible for me to use my YouTube account as something? I made it about 6 years ago and I have uploaded regularly. I was about 13 when I started uploading and I am currently 19 and I personally think it would be able to verify who I am.
Here's the thing I'm pretty sure my account, while it may be verifiable, some providers might want more info, so I was planning on making a private video with any other requests a provider might have in order to verify me. I would make a video make it private then send them the link so only they could access it.
So to any providers who think this is a decent way to verify me please let me know or any providers within LI, Ny willing to see me with this method please let me know. Thank you for your time. :)

Yeah that's what I meant with the private video I would make. I would probably show my license or college ID. So even after even if you had my info you still think it's a bad idea? :(

You'll have to give your personal info to someone...either a provider or P411 or Date-Check...it's your choice.  You can always take a gamble with a Backpage provider who doesn't screen if you don't mind the potential for ending up in jail.  But I, personally, don't accept references from those ladies.

If you're new to the game, you don't get to remain anonymous.  Most of the time, anyway.  ;)

I currently don't have VIP and I received two messages so if your reading this again please send it to my alternate email, (TER username)villa at aol. Reason is I'm not sure when I'm getting VIP so I wouldn't know how relevant your message would be by the time I read it thank you.

That's the problem I don't have a job. It seemed like a good idea in me head :/, see I thought if I made a private video that only the provider had access to it would be easier. Like I would "test"out my "new camera" and see how my "ID's" look under the camera? Isn't that what providers try to find out? If I see what my college ID looks like under the camera couldn't the provider use that and me up or if I show my drivers license? I don't know it seemed like a good idea at first. :(

Absolutely not. I have no idea where that logic would come from.

You need to tell her where you work. Plain and simple.

... NEVER, EVER, attempt to show your drivers license or any type of ID to anyone! that means, providers, police, hobbyists or anyone else that you come across!!

if you do a YouTube of showing your ID, that's inviting hackers and criminals to take advantage of you.

don't be stupid and invite trouble that way.

there are other ways to get screened. there are a number of different ways that providers can screen you and approve you for a session. just ask the provider or go to their website and read up on their screening process.

oh... if you found that lady on BP... DO NOT attempt to see her unless she has some form of online identity such as a profile here on TER.

play if safe and don't do stupid things!

best thing you can do right now is get a TER VIP access. that will give you far more information than what you get without a VIP access.

trust me... it's worth the money! that VIP access fee is far better than sitting in jail because you didn't do your homework.

... and I turned them down. why? because I'm not that stupid to provide them with an ID that can compromise my identity and give them opportunities to use my identity to steal money from me. no, thanks!!

I responded back to those providers and asked them to use a different screening method... like provider references. I have plenty of provider references, so it's not a problem for me.

I disagree with you that a photo with an ID is a "legitimate offer" because I do not know the end result when the providers get that photo. are those providers going to delete that photo after seeing it? how can I trust them? I can't... therefore, I refuse to do it in the first place.

Re: Actually there are some providers who would accept that. They have you hold up your DL next to your face and e-mail a photo of it to them.  It's a legitimate offer that a few will accept but you'll probably get turned down by most ladies.  Perseverance is your friend.  ;)

Ok, first your 19, your probably not married so no worries there.  Do your research first, check out Preferred411 this is what they do.  DO NOT make the video and show your info, you'll be safer to give it to a source that will verify you.  Find a well reviewed provider who is Newbie friendly contact her they way she (website) asks you to.  Explain yourself DO NOT LIE to her be honest, it will probably work out.  The first one is the hardest.  Good luck my friend...

your idea is not good, and I totally agree with them.  On a side note, number one, get VIP, it's worth it, and number two, you are probably going to get some turn-downs because of your age.  Many providers will not see someone as young as you are.  Yeah, I know, it sucks, but that's the way of the hobby.  It's their choice as to who they see for whatever reason.

Your best bet is to join one of the verification sites.  That way you only have to give out personal info once, instead of to several providers.

One of TER's worst stalkers is adamant about never giving out a bit of personal info. I guess he doesn't want favor returned some day when he thinks he is all alone in the forest talking to the trees who are the only ones interested in what he has to say.

That said, there are some risks inherent in giving out your personal information to a woman who some day may turn out to be BSC, but that goes both ways, I am sure there are several women who regret ever having crossed paths with a certain "Serpent in the Forest"

Bottom line is, don't give out more info that you feel comfortable giving, and just remember "the internet is forever" I bet you TSTTTTT wishes he could turn the clock back and make us all forget his past, but that just is not going to happen.

I was making a direct response to your driver's license statement and you were referring to hobbyists going through a screening process that the provider requires a driver's license along with a picture of themselves. I wasn't even talking about providers at all.

so... yea... I was talking to you.

Re: Who was talking to you? Not I.

The OP is in a totally different situation than you, and there are plenty of good providers who won't compromise personal information.  Just ask Mr. Fisher.  You could take a lesson from him.
