Some gals have told me that knocking is the single biggest give away as to what is going on, so to eliminate it, they set the door ajar after their client has called them so the client can just walk in.

Granted, that might not be the safest for the provider if it is a new client and she wants to see their face through the peep hole before they come in; but it would work well for known repeat clients.

Perhaps after a client has checked in from the lobby or parking lot, the gal could stand by the door and view the peephole to let the person in before they knock.

In any case, a real good list of dos and don'ts Sinthia.

You're right.  Common sense is not always so common.  It should go without saying but please don't go to the front desk and ask what room Sinful Sinthia is staying in!

When a lady, local or traveling, is using a hotel for an incall, discretion is the better part of valour. The lady relies upon the gentleman arriving discretely and not drawing undue attention to himself to either the front desk or other hotel staff.  This is especially true as she may have more than one client during her stay.  Also if you read about hotel arrests, suspicious activity is cited as the reason LE was tipped off.  So to protect the lady, and yourself, here are some pointers.


1. Make sure you have brought your "gift envelope" and identification with you to the appointment. Running back out to your car to get these items should be avoided. Yes, you will need a valid I.D. even if you have been prescreened. The lady knows only that she prescreened "John Smith," and now she wants to be make sure that the person at her door is the John Smith she prescreened.

2.  Dress appropriately.  If you are visiting a lady at an upscale hotel, its not okay to wear baggy pants hanging below your waist and a t-shirt unless you are a rapper.  Dress to blend in; a suit, dockers or khakis, or nice jeans and a nice shirt.  Again, people take notice of people who do not appear to fit in.

3. Call the lady from the parking lot, or outside of the hotel, to get the room number. Unless its a very large and busy hotel, placing that call and the subsequent conversation from inside lobby will be most likely be noticed. Lets face it, most people (including hotel staff) are nosey. Also if the lady is running late, you are left sitting in the hotel lobby waiting for her to let you know she is ready.  Waiting in your auto or outside the hotel is more discreet.

4. Rather than just getting the room number, stay on the line and find out the location of the guest room elevators from the front door. The easiest way to drawn undue attention is by wandering aimlessly throughout the lobby looking for an elevator. You are likely to have a member of the staff; a) ask if you are checking in, b) offering to assist you or c) asking who you are there to see.   If you act like a registered guest, who is familiar with the layout, you will not draw attention to yourself.

Carry a gym bag or a handled shopping bag if you are bringing the lady a gift and put any flowers, wine or presents in the bag.  However, if you show up as if you are a dinner guest or prom date with a bottle of wine and a bouquet of flowers in hand, this will certainly be noticed. Even more noticeable, that bright pink striped "Victoria's Secret" bag. These should also be placed in a plain shopping bag or a gym bag. (If you are bringing a bottle of wine, it may also be advisable to bring a cork screw. Not all hotels provide them in the room and the lady would prefer not calling the front desk to request one.)

6. When you arrive at the lady's room, tap on the door lightly and discreetly. Be patient. If she does not open the door right away, tap again lightly. It is never OK to pound on the door. If possible, arrange for her to be waiting for you by the door so she can open it quickly. Wait until you enter the room before exchanging any greetings. There are other guests in the hotel and hotel staff who may notice your entry and overhear your introduction. In other words saying, "Hello Sinful" from the hallway would not be advisable.

7. When leaving, say your goodbyes and collect your goodbye kisses inside the door. Then leave quietly.  Long passionate goodbyes or conversations from outside the room are not discreet.

8. As always, if you are running late (even if through no fault of your own), it is important to call the lady and let her know of any delay. Even if she is only seeing one other client that day, it does not mean that the other appointment is not immediately after yours and your tardiness may interfere with that appointment.

This all sounds like common sense, but its amazing that "common sense is not so common."

Some suggested leaving the key in a magazine near a chair in the lobby, but what if someone picks up the magazine and starts reading it?

Or housekeeping comes and tosses it?

I gave it some thought and couldn't come up with any full proof plan of where to leave a key in a hotel lobby, or even outside of same.

to also bring some shower soap so that I will smell "the same" when I get home and that there are no "other odors" on my clothing.  

If I bring a gift, I make sure it fits in the bag I'm using.  Just think, If a lady sees 3 guys in the same day and they all bring her flowers or some other large item, how will she ever be able to take them out of the hotel without attracting attention.

I visited a lady who a had a a very fine tuned system. She would take a room with a window view where she can see her parked car in the parking lot..Then, she directed me to park near the car. She would leave one electronic card key on the passenger side of the unlocked car. She told me to open the door and take the card key and enter through the side door nearest her room. This way you bypass the front lobby completely and enter the room without knocking..
When the session was over, you reverse the process.

I agree with all of your points except #4. I've been to hotels where i wasn't aware of the elevators location(s). I'm pretty good at seeming to have a purposeful path without really having one lol

I find it best to call from the car, immediately upon arriving, get out & go in.  Loitering in the parking will draw attention from patroling LE & hotel security.  To avoid being late due to traffic, weather or directions, I try to arrive somewhat early...  then withdraw to the corner coffee shop, guaging the time needed to return.  
I like to park near a wing exit (key card entrance, probably locked) away from the main entrance.  Walk to the main entrance to go in.  Upon leaving, I use the stairs & exit closer to my car without passing the front desk.  Even this old fart with a cane can go down the stairs.  I keep my bearings & if necessary I switch wings on an upper floor.  
I use a canvas shopping bag or a small suitcase for anything I need to carry...

A very great post Sinthia.  Since I'm in Florida, I dress weather appropriate depending on the season, but I do not wear flip-flops if I'm going to a hotel.  I bring my gifts in a Wal Mart bag, so it may give the appearance that I have just gone out to pick up a few things I might have forgotten.

The main thing if you are going thru the lobby is to act like you belong there.  Knowing where the elevators are located is the primary thing you need to know ahead of time.  As was already mentioned, you do not want to be looking like you are lost in the lobby.

First of all letting a stranger know which car is hers. Now he can find out all kinds of personal information on her. Secondly leaving her car door open, and letting a stranger enter it. Who saw?What about others in the parking lot? LE? Security? Other guests? Loitering kids? Other people could see some stranger parking then entering someone elses car. I don't know. Just a lot of things about this method doesn't sound smart to me.

Meet at a coffee house, etc., near the hotel and hand over the key, side door location, hotel location, etc., at that time.

Or after the call from outside, a second call from the lobby that is not answered (hit "redial" from inside a pocket is very easy) to signal her to come down in the elevator--she doesn't step off, but you get on and ride up together.  (Variations on this theme are possible).

Personally I prefer outcall to my hotel, meeting at a near by restaurant where I hand her the key unless we are returning together.

If a member of the hotel staff looks at you.  Don't look down at your shoes.  Look right back at the person and say "Hello" or "Good evening" or "How ya doin" or whatever you would naturally say to someone who made eye contact with you.  Why? Because that's what someone who is supposed to be there would say.

Agreed on several points-drive to the area early if you want but wait until close to pull in the parking lot (and park to the side). Call from car/preferably outside lobby, and then go in and act like u normally would visiting anyone else. Big kudos on existing from the side door too.

I also found driving to the hotel ahead of time (if u get the location early enough) helps minimize getting caught in traffic or lost the day of appointment. Scouting ahead if you will.
