Kind of odd

I was reading through the main FAQs, but this seems to vary provider-to-provider:  Some volunteer rates, Others don't want anything said on the phone.

Any rules of thumb to make things go smoothly?

are you a member of any verification sites, I know P411 and DateCheck usually has them or if not they refer you to her site/agency site. Hope this helps

volunteer rates?

Most providers don't want to discuss rates ever.
Not over the phone, email or in person.

Set a date, time, and length of appointment and things should be fine.

What you said makes sense, but quite a few in my area have no mention in their posts, and often have personal sites that ask you to contact them for amounts.

Well if your going looking at well reviewed providers (like you should be). I'd ask the guys who already seen them how much they are usually pretty keen on it if they seen her recently enough. Do your homework they have to be somewhere if you're looking at the right providers.

Since their site instructs you to contact them for the amount, I suppose there is no harm in asking in this case.

Just make sure you ask in a way such that you are asking about the price for her time and companionship, and not services.

...Even if their ad doesn't have prices, the cost of services will be listed in their TER profile.  If you're still in doubt, ask if all the info in their profile is accurate.

when you attempt to make the date, say "Hi Bambi, I saw your ad on CV, can I schedule a 2 hr. date on Saturday at 8pm?"

Sometimes providers have multiple ads and depending on circumstances, will have slightly different rates.

Ladies certainly do not want their rates negotiated nor do they want questions like "for $300, will you do x, y and z to me?" But in ten years, I have never had a lady have a problem with me asking her where I can find her rates, or what her 1.5 hour rate is (if she just lists a 1 hr and a 2 hr rate) or if she has multiple rates on multiple sites and you simply tell her that and ask which rate would apply in your specific case. Providers dont expect gentlemen to be mind readers and carefully posed, respectful questions about ambiguous rate information never seems to be an issue with a professional provider. Just my 2 cents.

you need to ask for the fee for her companionship or modeling or what ever.  State what ad or site you are looking at, so you are both on the same page.  Never ask what is included.
You don't want to go with 300 in your pocket & find she wants 600...  nor does she want to wreck her schedule.

That you are running into "a lot" who don't publish their rates.  In my research (and I've done a LOT), I can't recall NOT being able to find that information.

As long as you talk in terms of donation for time, you should be in good shape.  After all, that's the way it's always worded on a lady's website.

in the 10+ years I have been doing this.  Ladies with their own website will list rates.  Granted, some ladies don't change all the infromation from the template so sometimes it might still say "contact me for rates".  Ladies advertising on escort malls (Eros, CitiVibe, BP, etc.) usually don't have rates listed.
