I'm a newbie and I've arranged to meet a provider for lunch with the hopes that I'll be able to feel secure about LE.  I want more experienced opinions about how we met please.  Here's the nutshell version: I joined Fling.com and found it mostly useless for meeting real people.  She was on Fling and responded to my request to get to know each other better.  I did not know she was a provider at this point.  We exchanged photos and we e-mailed back and forth for a couple of weeks, and she sent me her phone number eventually.  In one e-mail (and only in that one e-mail) she mentioned rates, and that's when I realized she was a provider.  I talked to her on the phone, not about specifics, just to get a feel for if she seemed genuine.  She said she is married, does this part time, started as a massage venture and developed into providing.  She said she babysits a bunch of kids during the day.  When I asked about availability Saturday she said probably okay, but if a family issue comes up she might have to go do that instead.  I'm meeting her for lunch Thursday hoping I have enough common sense and spidey sense to tell if she's legit or LE.  I keep asking myself "would LE go through that much trouble?"  One other thing, I haven't asked her about reviews I can check out (such a stupid newbie!)or if she has a website.  She did have some pointers for me in one e-mail--the ones about not handing money directly to a provider, CL is bad news,...that kind of stuff.  Sorry this is so long, I just want experienced opinions.  Thanks in advance.

...what I have to say.  I'd change course altogether.  If you really want to feel secure about LE (a major concern for me, as well) then the only way is to go with a well reviewed provider.  Someone that has a track record of at least a page (10 or so) of reviews.  Obviously, you want these reviews to be positive.  This is what TER is all about.  You're on the site.  Use it!  If you don't have TER's VIP membership, then that's step 1.  With that, you can backchannel the reviewers of a provider that you're interested in and glean even more info.

To do the lunch thing as you've outlined is so risky.  Since you seem concerned about that risk and want the opinions of the experienced, I will weigh in:  DON'T TAKE IT!  Do some more research.  If you're so freakin' hot for this chick, find out if she's got reviews.  But, I'd still be leary of her UNLESS she's got tons of good reviews.  Not finding out that she's a pro until later on?  Not a good sign.  Probably not LE (although that's not a guarantee), but probably is a bad time waiting to happen.

that you'll end up wasting money on a provider that you won't care for than the LE risk.

Ask her to see reviews and then decide whether to go further.  I think that if you get to the lunch date, you'll feel pressured to proceed to a session.

Thanks so much for taking the time to help me out with your opinions.  I'll be sure to help future newbies once I'm a more experienced hobbyist...payback for the friendly advice I've received.

Am I right that going through with the lunch is not illegal in any way?  Anything about it that could get me in trouble?

I should expand a bit:

As long as you don't do anything illegal like discuss sex acts in exchange for $.  Keep it casual and cool.

And don't run under the table to do DATY.

...if you go to lunch, and IF she's LE, then yes you could get arrested.  Would that be trouble for you?  We don't know what's been specifically discussed between you and her up til now.  So, it may be that you've already said to much and all she needs is for you to show up so she can put the cuffs on you!  To get a conviction, LE needs proof that you offered money in return for sexual services.  To make an arrest, well that's a different story.  Just ask 3 Duke lacrosse players.  Mr. Fisher's advice has been weak compared to mine, yet his seems to be the advice you want to follow.  Let me spell it out for you:  1) Don't do lunch with this chick. 2) Find someone with lots of good reviews, i.e. DO SOME REAL RESEARCH - that's what this site is for. 3) Fuck that woman instead!    Got it?

I've decided to forget the lunch idea and follow your advice.  When I tried to call and cancel (being polite) the call wouldn't go through--some message about not being available.  I don't know if I dodged a bullet or not, but real research will be my way forward from now on.  Thank you very much for the help.

...now that my good deed for the day is done, I will go torture some baby seals or nuke some whales.  Decisions, decisions... Oh well, maybe I'll just get some sleep.

You can get arrested just by showing up! A lot of people don't understand this at all, which is a shame. Make sure to stick with well reviewed escort sites (not an adult sex site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), and make sure that the woman in question, has lots of reviews (preferably good ones, of course lol).  

And I have been saying this for a little while now.. but remmeber this workd "INTENT". Lets face it, you weren't looking to meet up and play checkers, were you?
