I was asked to give my flight itinerary instead of past providers as references.  Is this normal?

providers doing that.  It verifies who you are and that you don't live in the City you are visiting them in.  It's sort of another way to make sure you are not LE (i.e. LE probably isn't going to be flying someone in to do a prostitution sting).  It gives up a whole lot of your personal info tho.  I think in a situation like that I would be more inclined to tell them you will show it to them when the two of you meet.  That way they can look at it and know you are in fact a visitor, but they don't have a "hard" copy of it.

Have a safe trip and a great flight - look for flights with flight attendant like this one and your flight will seem really short.

As the other poster stated, it shows identity and the fact that you flew in.  It DOES allow me to see your full name and flight information, but discretion is a priority for the ladies that I know.  If you are flying in from out of town and your provider references (who are also probably out of town) are ladies who I am not familiar with, I will not hesitate to ask for this, and I also prefer that you email it.  I won't be sending my location information without completely verifying you first.

some local ladies will use that as verification for a guy who is an out-of-towner that wants to see them.  If you are flying into a particular town, that gives them some assurance you are not a local LEO.  It's not foolproof, but it helps.

said, it proves who you are and that you are from out of town and not local LE.  Not sure LE would go to the trouble to get a flight itinerary just to make a bust for a low-level crime (at least according to current law).

LOL, the car rental places do this when you rent a car from out of state... as long as you have a round trip flight, they have no problem renting to you... I can see if you have no other references or are not a member of any verification sites, how this may serve as a form of verification for them though. If she's legit w/reviews to back her up, I think you would be OK... just not w/anyone without any reviews.

They cross referenced the information against my ID. They had screened me earlier.
