Interesting Situation...True Story

This situation actually happened yesterday.  There is a guy that has been calling for a few weeks and each time we spoke he wanted an appointment within a half a hour.  I had to decline the appointment as I had other legitimate commitments.  We finally connected yesterday and I just happened to asked him if he was calling from his cell or work.  He responded that he was calling from work.  After a few screening questions (that did not include where he worked...kicking myself for that one), we scheduled a time to meet later in the afternoon.  He called from a different number to say that he got held up and needed to push our appointment back two hours.  The alternate time was not good for me, but I told him I would do what I could.  After I hung up, I decided to call the work number that he had called me from initially - since he was now on his cell and out of the office - to find out what company he worked for.  The person that answered said, "Main Central Jail."  I was so stunned I asked him to repeat it.  I said I had the wrong number and hung up.

He never called backk yesterday, but has called twice today.  I have let each call go to voicemail.  I was bugging out and just had to share this real story.

he is most likely a prison guard. an inmate wouldn't have the ability to just leave whenever. prison guards make good money and are many times some of the nicest guys ( at least the ones I know). If you get in with that fellow you would have a client that not only can afford you, but he has been treated like utter garbage at work constantly, so he is most likely a decent guy just looking for some tush.

LE who just happened to use a phone at the jail.  Give these ladies some credit for their intuitive instincts.

prerogative.

But if he was LE looking to bust you, you can expect they would have a dumpy company for you to call.

Generally they aren't that incompetent, but who knows, you might have Inspector Clouseau on your hands.

Its the work program, the phones are monitored for outgoing calls dialed but some can convince callers who call in asking questions to place a 3 way call for them.

In any event, its someone yanking your chain.
