Hello Ter ladys & gents,

Having an issue. I became a member on my ipad that a client gave me and am currently purchasing a new one. I would like to log in to ter on my new ipad, but I am afraid That this will effect my membership because the two ipads have different ip address. How do I go about making this process work? I would truly appreciate the help.

But in the top right corner, just click log out...and then log in from the new device.

Seems like that would solve the issue...

Well I heard a story from a client that him and his buddy both hobby on ter and one day my clients buddy logged onto his ter account on my clients computer and got banned. Thats why im concerned. My client ended up fixing the issue with the moderators but he said it took a few days to straighten things out and it was a pain in the but.

you should not have any problems.  It would be a problem for you if it was an Ipad you bought from a member who had used it to log in here.  Bottom line is, you never want to log in from someone else's IP address, regardless of what device you use.

and clear all cookies, browsing history and all that you should be fine.

At worst you need to do a factory restore. There has to be a way otherwise it would not safe for millions of people to resell their iPads after upgrading to a new release.

TER can't tell you are using an iPad and many users access TER from public networks or public access places and all accounts will show under the same IP.

Just make sure you access TER under your own account and guys don't start posting reviews from your device.

... make any difference as long you have a valid TER ID and password.

The IP issue only comes into play if TER had banned you or have some valid reason to monitor your logins.

Go ahead and try it with your new iPad. If it doesn't work, send a PM to TER administration. They should fix it up for you.

In your story of your friend was more than one member was using the same device. That is titally different than one member using multiple devices. As swim said, as long as you don't share your device with other users there is no problem. I personally login to TER from 4 different devices (desktops, laptops, phones). That's currently and I probably can't count how many devices I have used since I first became a member. I have never had a problem.
