I've submitted some reviews recently and they come back with an Edit Block. When I look at my submitted review in the Details section there is "BR" inserted in my proposed review (with symbols around BR) What does "BR" mean and how do I correct my review for it to be accepted?

There will be a paragraph break in that spot if, and when, your review is approved.

It is a "line Break"
It is a simple html code so that the line of text isn't just one long horizontal line of text.

It is automatically put in by most message boards, blogs, etc. when you hit enter to go down a line, and are also automatically inserted to "word wrap".

Have you ever seen a post where someone just puts a long string of characters with no spaces that causes you to have to side-scroll.

If it weren't for "line breaks" in html all text would be like that.
