I would contact several at the same time

I would def hit up 3 or 4 ladies as some may be on break, your email may go into there spam folder, they might be booked for the date/time you want to see them, you may not "click" with them thru email, etc. Also depends on how much time you have. If your visit is a month away well thats one thing, if its 3 days away, thats quite another.

Whats the consensus/thought on how to go about setting up date if you are going to be visiting a city?  I have a few ladies I am thinking about.  Should I reach out to all and see who gets back to me?  Should I go in order and see if the first lady on my list responds, and if so how long would you wait before moving on?

I'm not a newbie, but I have never really figured out best way to handle this aspect.  Its easier if there is one specific person I want to see in town where I am.

Thoughts?

by a certain time, you intend to make other arrangement.

I think 48 hours is the most common time frame given for this waiting period.

If a gal contacts you after the 48 hours, you can agree to get back to her if gal #2 doesn't answer in 48 hours.

Thanks.  But 48 hours can really compress things.  I just learned today I have to travel next week.  If I wait two day until I contact #2, then its getting to point of not really giving much notice.  Thats why I had been leaning to emailing a few at once and seeing who answers.  But that doesn't really seem right, either.

Our posts crossed.  That's what I was thinking, but wasn't really sure if it was "right" way to handle it.

I understand you have a few ladies you are interested in.
Are you planning to see more than one provider on different days or just looking for one appt?
Contacting multiple ladies to see who answers first that can be a little tricky.
I would contact a couple of ladies not all of them and wait and see if you get a response.
I would wait 24-48hrs notice if not move on to the next lady you are interested in.
When guys send out multiple appt requests for one appt all at once someone is going to get cancelled on or it starts to look like double booking.
That is why the more advanced notice the better for both parties IMO if a person already knows his/her schedule.
Just my .02

I, personally, never contact more than one at a time for just the reason you said.  But, unlike the OP, I don't have to deal with time constraints, and I only see 2-4 ladies a month.  I would suggest he contact no more than  2 in his original inquiry, and if time is a problem, as it seems to be, I would not wait more than  24 hrs before recontacting them.

Narrow it down to the girls who want to see, and give plenty of time for screening.  A week before, make an appointment, and be sure to confirm the day of.  Really simple.

If you are super risk-averse, tell the second choice that you are going to be in her city but that you are not super-sure about your schedule.  Ask her if she can be flexible on that day, in case the first provider falls through.

I was definately going to visit a particular city, I would contact my #1 choice as far ahead as a month. Sometimes I only had limited availability due to work commitments so I didn't want to miss out on fun time.

If lady #1 wasn't available, then I moved on to #2. Once I found a lady whose schedule matched up, I would confirm weekly until it was time to follow her instructions regarding maybe a phone call morning of, etc.

In these type situations, it is always wise to have a plan B, meaning you have been screened by another lady "just in case you find some free time in your busy schedule".
