There appear to be some pretty consistent pricing conventions in my market--Chicago.  AMPs with an established location run $65 - $75 per hour but upsell on extras as much as $200 or more.  Indie Asian generally run $160 an hour.  Other indies run about $200 to $300 an hour and agencies about $300 to $400.  Overall prices seem to have weakened in the last few months.  This is undoubtedly the economy, less guys with money to spend and more gals in need of the job.

All that is preamble.  Assuming the service was reasonably good, what's an appropriate tip in each of these price brackets?  What's an appropriate tip for exceptional service?

It's easy to say, "just leave whatever you feel is appropriate", but if I don't know what I'm doing, and I don't, I could walk out looking like a fool or, worse yet, an unappreciative piker.  

Please help.

Tipping in the hobby is optional, not a requirement. If you want to leave a tip that's fine. Anyone who thinks the amount you leave is not enough is really not someone you want to see again anyway.  I rarely tip and I've never been turned down for a second appointment.

I don't tip, however, I do give gifts. Ladies who have web sites often have a gift page. Items or stores they like. From a box of chocolate to a BMW. I go with something mid range (gift card from VS) usually. Ladies appreciate the fact you took the time to read their web site and got them something they like. And then there's the old standby, "book another date with them, it's the best gift a provider can get".

I won't fuck you for it, but I'll work on getting you laid, lol.

would be to see her again. I see a couple of ladies on a regular basis. My sessions with them are always very, very good if not outstanding. Tipping is optional but is ALWAYS remembered. If you meet a lady who knocks your socks off and she jumps to the top of your ATF list and you plan on calling her again, definitley tip her! A tip of 25% of her fee will be fine.  She will reward you big time when you see her again. You may want to keep a couple of 50$ Victoria's Secret gift cards handy. They always put a smile on a ladies face.

One of my ATF's will see me at my condo when she only offers incall sessions to all others. We go out for lunch off the clock. I will pay for a one hour session and she will provide me with two or three hours!! These "extra's" all started by me leaving a tip because she treated me like a king and I felt she went out of her way to please me. Tipping has it's advantages. Let your big head guide you.

I think that was very well said. A tip is not particularly necessary but always well appreciated. I would definitly feel a little more inclined to go out of my way for those who appreciate it!
