I'm young and new to hobbying (haven't met a provider yet) and I was wondering how you go about getting tested without wanting anyone to know. I'm assuming you go to a free-clinic somewhere, but how do you go about getting tested for several std's (just to be safe)? I guess they must have some package testing they offer at a clinic, but how much might it cost me? Thanks and sorry if this is a stupid question.

I know of two options - call your local health department and ask them if they do any STD testing - if they dont they can tell you where to go.     The health dept usually offers free STD testing for the basics that can be caught by a blood test.  (not all STD's can be found by a blood test btw).

The other option is to call your local planned parenthood and ask them about STD testing - they test men as well as women and they charge on a sliding scale fee - so if you have no income, you do not have to pay very much or they set up a payment option with you.

Planned Parenthood will do a physical exam as well as blood test if you feel the need for a physical exam.

Both of these options will keep your privacy and not talk to anyone else about your results but you.

...twice called tstd dot org.  You just get assigned a number when you sign up and pay online, then go to a local lab and have blood drawn (never giving your name) and they email you a link to your results in a couple of days.  I think it was $250 last time I used them.

Some doctors will let u do an STD test there (I did mine with the nurse practionoer earlier this year she did the blood draw and cotton swab). Check with ur doctor for sure everything is private.
