hehe Ok I run my own business and have always done so for many years. Will a provider turn me down?  Why do they need to verify employment?

The verification is for two reasons:

1 As a way of lessening the chances that you are LE

2 A guy who intends to rob a provider or be aggressive or abusive in any way is unlikely to want her to know his full name and where he works so it's for safety.

It's all about keeping safe, nothing more sinister than that.

If you run your own business then you can tell her that, tell her to look it up in the Yellow Pages and call the number.  That way when you answer the phone she knows the business is legit and you are really the guy at the end of the listed number.

Sorry...no offense but had a bad experience.  There are other ways to get a reference and some of them were mentioned.

So if you join one of those two, then the provider does not need any of your work information, correct? I may be a little slow on that one.
