I had a similar problem..

Ok here is my situation. I’m 27 and let’s just say I haven’t worked nor will I ever have to work in my life. When I was 23 (back in 07) I briefly got into the hobby and saw two providers, one agency and one  independent. I called set up date and time, they checked my ID when they showed up and that was it, simple.

I decided to try to get back into it just recently. So I called up an agency and now they require you to verify your employment??? When I told him I didn’t work he plainly said that I can’t use their services. Same thing with an independent I contacted, she required me to sign up for a verification service, which I have no problem with, except the verification service also asks to verify your employment. What the heck happened in the last 4 years?? Why is it so difficult all of a sudden to see a provider???

I can’t contact the two providers from years ago as reference because I don’t remember who I used. So is there any way around this? I mean I can’t verify my work because I don’t work. Can I use a credit card with an agency AND pay them more then the girls rate to show that I’m a serious client and not someone messing around? By the way I’m looking in the range of 500-700/HR and I DONT mind paying more onetime to an agency to show that I’m serious so they can give me references from then on.

Can someone tell me if that would work or is there something else I can do to be seen by providers? By the way I’m in the Miami area if anyone knows of a high class provider that will see me without too much hassle so I can start to build references.

Thanks in advance

I called P411's 800#.  I, too, have no work # and explained that to the person with whom I spoke.  She offered other options that would permit them to screen me and accept my membership.  Once that was done, I started off by seeing P411 providers who were "newbie friendly" with no OK's required (there are plenty).  Once I got OKs from a couple of them, I had no trouble seeing anyone I wanted.  Good Luck!

For the verification sites maybe you contact them directly and explain your situation.
Guys have mentioned on here in this past about not having employment to be verified and that I think P411 does offer other options.Contact them directly and see what they can do for you.If you become a member there you can search in any city for newbie friendly providers. Also,do a search on this board about references and verification sites and a lot of info will come up for you to read.
Good luck!

For me, the big difference between P411 and Date-Check (and I am now a member of both) is that P411 has an 800# you can call and Date-Check doesn't.  Or at least it didn't a year ago.

I applied for membership at P411 but the phone numbers at my job cannot be easily verified so they required more info.  They required a copy of my state driver's license, a copy of recent cell phone bill, and copy of recent paystub.  Once sent, I was verified very quickly.

Since you have no job, they may require different docs, but they should work with you..

It just sounds like you're not willing to enter the discussion with people. As has been said, the verification services have ways to verify you without employment if you contact them directly. (in my area, people have had success emailing RS2k. I've personally emailed before starting my app to make sure they were not going to try some things in verification that would have outed me).

There's plenty of people that have no "employer" due to student status, retirement, or self-employment.

If you can't get traction with the verification sites you can always post about your situation on your regional board. A post such as yours will probably send a few PM's your way. As long as you write in a way that puts you in the best light, a few newbie friendly providers may decide to give you a chance.

Thank you for the suggestions guys. Being a newbie and from my previous experiences being so easy to book, I was just very frustrated when I ran into this problem. I will do what you all suggested and contact a verification website and explain my situation. Thanks again.
