You should be able to do it there, keep in mind that you need the VIP feature for this, which I suspect you do have...

...you may need to contact TER and request they allow you to change it.

Why does anyone need an alias here?  Unless planning to be rude, or disrespectful to others in this community.  I've never used one, nor ever will.  If I say something nice or (rarely) not nice I am not afraid or ashame to have everyone know it was me

Guys that have to use alias' got no balls.

Yeah, yeah, I suppose there are a few times an alias is a constructive part of a discussion board................just not these discussion boards.

I crack me up.

I am funny.

And ask them to change it. You have to tell them what you want as a new alias. I believe you can change your alias every 90 days. They won't let you do it more often.

After that, you have to contact TER to change it. In the old days of multiple aliases, they could all be chosen how you mentioned.

If you don't have a need for them, goodie for you, but TER allows them so live with it.

From TER policy:
Here are NINE very acceptable reasons for the use of an alias.

Use of topical humor when the alias enhances the humor

The creation of a character(literary license) to be used in an informative, fun, innocuously sarcastic, philanthropic, as well as topical way.

Anonymity for when regional or associational sensitivities may be of concern, particularly when there are members out there who will harass you on the boards when you disagree strongly with them.

Innocuous playing of "devils advocate" in a discussion or debate where one wishes to not be further/future aligned with one faction or the other.  If you look at the GD Board, there are providers who have flat out stated that they won't see someone based on some of their posts.  Why would any guy take the chance.

Avoidance of suffering political fallout for a comment that may have been wrongly construed in a possibly volatile discussion.  Some of these regular posters are hyper-sensitive, and also don't read the whole post before going ballistic.

Posting investigative reports, meet & greet announcements, helpful advice, or other similar types of useful information where the use of a user-name could prove problematic or open the poster up to incessant PM's and questions.

Concerns in revealing your review history.  This is a big one when you are posting about a particular provider that you are not going to name. In those situations, you open ALL of your reviewed providers to the public guessing who you are talking about.  It's not fair to the others.

Ability to contribute where you would otherwise feel embarrassed to speak candidly.  Some are just too shy, but will post under an alias.

To avoid a google search turning up your review history.  Some of these guys only post in alias for this reason.

Yes, I read those reasons, did you? Right off the bat #1 really comes up all the time. There ARE a couple that make perfect sense.

The reason that makes the least sense (and seems to be a lot of people on message boards) is " Some of these regular posters are hyper-sensitive, and also don't read the whole post before going ballistic." Granting these nuts with anonymity is not necessarily a good idea.

I find that MOST of the guys using alias' are gutless AND balless, they are here to be turds in the punchbowl.
I will live with it, I don't have to like it.

I have as much right to express my opinion as an alias. Generally I am not a smart-ass.
