Some of the ladies I have seen have bodies and skills on par with the best porn stars that I have ever seen.  They are also, IMO, more grounded and offer a better connection with their clients.

As for a newbie provider????  You pay your money you take your chances, a newer provider with a couple reviews from respected reviewers....I love that.

I only see well reviewed independent non-porn stars.   There is too much risk seeing a newbie these days, and IMO unless it's a porn star I'd really like to see, I'm quite content with the stellar service of the non-PS ladies I've seen.

It has been widely speculated that PS implies additional services ie. Greek, CIM, etc. in addition to the obvious.  That's not to say that a GFE provider wouldn't offer that as well.
I personally wouldn't spend the extra for a PSE since I read reviews to get what I want from the provider anyway, without spending the extra $$.
The newbie however, as it's been said many times over, would have to have prior reviews before I'd venture down that path, where the PSE would obviously have many.

Would favor the attractive newbie, hypothetically that I knew she wasn't a ripoff or a police officer.  The porn star would seem too business like; in addition, the porn star would probably be a oneshot deal, whereas the newbie could become a repeated visit.

I can see how some porn stars want to trade off of that fame and have higher fees. That is their personal decision, matching the fee to how many friends she desires to meet. $1,500 / hr porn stars are frequently poorer than for the wonderful GFE providers out there.  I distinctly get the impression that they could give a rat's ass for the hobbyist, and that it's more of a high priced favor that they are letting you go where Rocco has gone before.

Robbin, treat your clients well, pay attention to the little things, scale back on the intensity of your posts a little (be careful with the LV board posts, you don't want to get a rep for drama), and you should be fine.  Who you are will mean more in the long run than who you identify yourself to be.  I hope you find what you're looking for.

Far more than just your face and physique has piqued my interest; But even though Vegas is a mere 260 miles from my back door its primary draw (gambling) is a vice that holds no interest to me and serves as basis for my reticence.

 Very few things are a sure bet, even reviews by hobbyists or film critics can leave us dumbfounded or disappointed. The amount one is willing to gamble on something depends on the individual, the amount. and payoff expectations.
It is not for any lack of aesthetic or physical ideal that hold me resolute in my skepticism; it is the current temerity of the bet that dissuades my finding a reason to make the trek.  

Yet you are naive, you won't see it now, but looking back you will agree with me down the road. You may know the ways of the world, and whats what but you are not experienced in this too much. It's not like dating or sleeping with your BF.  You go into this with one preconseption, and over time that changes. I have found that it has changed for the better, I am a better connected person with myself than before.

Robbin, I think you have gotten a lot of excellent responses to your question.  Of course, we only think that way when the responses echo our own opinions.

If I was limited to only your two options to choose from, I would prefer the newbie instead of the porn star.  

I feel that we hobbyists are broken into two distinct groups.  You have that first group who wants to see and "experience" as many different ladies as possible.  They don't desire or care to have any type connection with the lady.  In my mind, these are the guys who would most likely want to see the porn star.

The second group of hobbyists want to feel some type connection (even if only for the hour or two they are with the lady - hence, all the hundreds of threads trying to define a GFE).  I fall into this group.

I have never been with a porn star but I feel as others have said, the chances of having any type connection with her would be much less than with a "regular" lady.

As far as "technical skills", I feel most of the top providers from any area would have the same skill set of any porn star.  

I must also add, I am very impressed with your web site, how articulate you are, and the questions you are asking.  

Most impressive to me though is your skill at responding to others who may be critical of or differ from your views.

There are also plently of main stream GFEs that can and do go down the PSE path quite effectively.

2. No interest in Porn Stars, and even if I did there is no way I could afford one. Also, what makes her a porn star? There appear to be few true "stars", yet many "amateur actresses" these days.
