I was checking out my credit card statement a few days ago and I see a charge for $49.95 from an outfit called E Net Solutions with the following phone number listed as being in Kansas:

540 432 1855.

I call it and get a recording that it is the billing office for the "can't be mentioned bow-wow site".

I also recently had to change my credit card because of a breach of cc numbers.  This charge showed up at approximately the same time.

Coincidence?

In any case, I called my CC company and they got the charge cancelled.

For the record, I haven't visited that site in many, many months.

Just mentioning that people ought to be checking their CC bills very closely.

while preparing last years taxes, my accountant noticed a recurring charge of $79.95 every month for the last 15 months, and asked about it, as the company was located overseas.

So after some research I found out it was from a company that sells something called "Colon-Cleanse". I have never heard of such a product, I do not know what is it for, I have never contacted them, and have never received anything from them.

Well after several months negotiating with CC company, they finally agreed to reverse only half of the $1,200 I was billed for.

What I have found out, is that you have only 30 days to dispute a charge.

Now I check my CC statements every month. Learned my lesson the hard way.

my credit card folks will call me with occasional fraud alerts and get my okay for recent activity. A nice safety blanket, for sure.

just to be safe.  In the past, I have had waitresses add more tip to a restaurant bill than I put on the tab.  My cc calls or sends a text when there is a questionable charge; like TER.

I had ordered parasitic nematodes that they never shipped; and then they went out of business.

Several months after going out of business, they started charging me various odd amounts. I check my banking stuff frequently so I caught it and had it shut down.
