If a gal seems good to me, I'll see her at either of those rates.

I generally like a 2 hour minimum, so not interested in HH.

Things have slowed down.
I know this time of year is no fun for anyone and the holidays will sometimes slow things down.
I just wanted to know if the 350 rate as opposed to the 300 dollar rate keeps you from seeing a model.
Also, how do you guys feel about 1/2 hr appointments?
Any feedback would be FANTASTIC.

Shawnie every market is different. One city the business can be thriving and another it can be slow. From what many ladies tell me, December and January are usually slower, again pending city, and things pick up in February. Why dont you offer a $300 rate on one or two of your slowest days of the week and see what kind of reaction you get to it. I dont do 1/2 hrs., but I am sure there is a market before typical work hours and lunchtime for a "quickie" at a reduced rate of say $200 based on your $300-350/hr rate. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

What has your clientele been like over the last year?  6 figure + guys who have high powered jobs or own their own business?  Gents in the 55-65 range who are financially secure (mrfisher falls into one or both of these categories so I'm not surprised at his answer).

I'm 44, am part owner in a business, and not living check to check.  My personal feeling is the $50 would not prevent me from seeing someone if I was REALLY into her (one of those, "these opportunities don't come around very often" type things).   But I'd certainly consider it all else being equal.  

I recently moved and I expect to lay out a good deal of money to decorate.  I have some $300-$350 gals I'd like to see, but will probably do FBSM for half that for a few months....just to be smart about things.  

I've also read reviews where guys talk about "saving their pennies" so they can re-visit a gal.  I'm guessing these guys never were potential clients for you anyway.  

So my newbie guess is that it's the people like me that may be affected by a rate increase (they can afford it, but also don't mind doing a little shopping unless they are dying to see a certain individual).  So whether it makes a big difference for you depends on the demographics re. your clientele if you ask me.

I look for gals that appeal to me,  then look at the cost.  The difference between 300 and 350 would not have any influence on my decision.  Also, prefer longer appointments and not at all interested in HH.  Just my 2 cents..

For me (and this is just me) the difference is at $350 I may see you once to see if I like you but at $250 if I like you I will see you a couple times a month and at $350 I will see you once and possibly never again. IMHO a few regulars you like for a little less an hour but that are regular are better than unpredictable and random guys that seldom repeat. It also seldom results in slumps in business for you.

$300 is s ort of my breaking point.  If a provider is over that, I usually don't pursue any research on her.  Reason being, in my area, there are too many quality ladies available for $300 and under.  It's really just an arbitrary number.  I have seen ladies for more than $3C, but it's rare.

I have never done a 30-minute date.  It just doesn't appeal to me.  I'd do longer (more than 1 hr) dates, but the cost gets in the way, so I normally go for the 1 hr dates.  Have done one 3-hr date, and a few overnights.  The overnights are fun, but expensive, which is why I don't do them often.

But speaking for myself I'm someone who prefers out-call. And my hobby limits are set at 1hr 250-375.. 90 mins 300-400... 2hrs 400-500. Doubles 1hr 500.

I can't give u any advice on your rates.. what you charge is up to you.. I'm just offering  some insight on how I hobby and what works for me.

Ive done a good deal of 30min dates, 50, can make a difference to those whom are finacally challenged. While those type of guys are negatively looked upon by the hobbiest comminuity, not everybody makes THAT kind of money. The bottom line is; charge what you feel is the right price. Most guys who are going to pay 300 are not that differnet than those who are paying 350

Everyone is different in their expectations and budget. For dome guys 50 bucks is a big deal. For others it really doesn't matter. For me, 50 bucks does make a difference whether I see someone or not.

Same with the 1/2 hour deal. There are guys who are happy with a half hour session, who just want to get their "nut." Others want or need longer sessions. Personally I prefer two hour sessions, and while occasionally I will book an hour, I will never do half hour.

As blue said, why don't you experiment and see what happens? Only you can decide what works for you.

The economy, while touted to be "getting better," still really doesn't feel that way to me.  However, this is a bad time of year, because everyone is tapped out from the holidays.

You need to ask yourself about the decisions you are making now and whether that will set a precedent for the future.  For example, if you start offering 30-minute rates now, will that cannibalize the longer-session rates?  If you lower rates now, will you have to start keeping those rates low because guys will no longer want to see you for the hour?

If you can't afford that amount in the Atlanta area you'll most likely be circling bp for dates.


My logic if guys aren't paying 125.00 for Hotel Suites and the providers rate as I do.. then he shouldn't have a problem forking over 300-350 for an in-call date... granted she's someone you want to see.

Suppose you offer a "50.00 off" promotion(personally find the term "specials" distasteful) for repeat clients, say for the first week of February?  Not sure if it would garner huge results just by including it in your advertising, but for those with mailing lists, a "blast" like that might encourage more "repeats" to book with you that week.
Give a little bit of notice(maybe a week or two ahead) so the gentlemen have time to schedule an appt. during that week and you might end up with a fuller calendar than you're currently experiencing.
Experimenting with this for only a week, also ends the promotion quickly, if you find it doesn't suit you. If it fills your week with lovely returning clients, you have the option of offering the same thing every month or whenever things get a little too slow.
Frankly, if you offer some of the changes you listed, your current regulars will expect the new lower rate or go from a full hour client to a half hour client in the future. Kind of defeats your purpose. Why not just make the offer available to those who have already seen you? Sort of a show of appreciation for their patronage.Lol!

You are correct here.  If you offer a 30-minute rate, you might cannibalize the higher rates for more time.  Maybe that's better because if you offer a 30-minute rate that is more than 50% of the hourly rate but are booked more than twice as much, your revenue increases.  However, you also have more costs (more wear/tear on the body, more risk as there is more volume, etc.).

I think the idea of a targeted promotion is a good way of rewarding good clientele.  It's kinda like a frequent flyer program.

Another way that high-end brands will target market is to offer more for the same price.  Instead of discounting cologne prices, they will throw in a free gift bag or something else for buying a larger-sized bottle.  So maybe offer more time for the same price.

like NYC, Boston, LA, Chicago, Miami, Vegas, etc., the rate is higher than small market areas like Indianapolis, Phoenix, Raleigh, Cleveland, etc.  To answer your question, no--there is not much difference between 300 and 350, assuming the performance and appearance (in that order) are similar.  I would much rather pay 350 for a 9-9 than 300 for a 7-7.

Regarding the 2nd question, if a provider offers 30 minute appointments, that reeks of high volume and I will be most likely looking elsewhere.
