I'm stuck in a chicken-and-egg situation.  I'm fairly new to the hobby, and am having problems making dates because I don't have enough references.  I'm retired, so I can't give a work reference.  Help!

You can use date-check or preferred 411.  A lady may accept one of those verification services.  It isn't always a given.  Each lady has her own screening process.

you explain to them that you are new to this.  They will want a lot of personal information however in return.

Remember to be sincere and polite.  Grammar and spelling do count.

Eventually you'll find someone who will see you and then you'll have a reference for future dates.
