How often do providers simply ignore a nice intro note?  Fairly often, I have sent one to three notes even mentioning a specific time and offering my TER and other site credentials and heard nothing back.  Truly, I am sure there is nothing about my profile or reviews that would put a provider off.  When I see a non-responding provider continue with ads and posts on my local TER board I really wonder why I got reply at all, even when I politely asked for at least a regrets note back.  Of course, I do just move on to another provider and have had numerous great times, often repeats, and never a problem....just wondering how often this happens.  Seems like bad business practice to me.

There are many providers who do not have great business skills.  If they are careless with screening and discretion with your info, it could be a problem.  Move on.

and it may have nothing to do with you.  They could be on hiatus for any number of reasons.

Just try another.  It's a big pond out there.

I have developed friendships with a few providers.  They have told me that many guys will waste their time with repeated emails and telephone calls but never make an appointment.  Some guys apparently get off on "email sex" in addition to "phone sex".

Send a PM and then call saying you are interested in seeing her and that you just sent a PM.

yes, you're right.  White-listed VIP, and I have indeed followed up with either second pm (or messages on a different site) and in two other cases with phone calls.  Normally, I'd not overthink this...just odd to then see a "hey guys, I'm doing incalls this weekend!" kind of post.  Not a big deal....just felt like asking this am when I had no word back from either of two and am heading to the city in question tomorrow.  It'll work out fine, and probably for the best.  And I have a few favorites who are always happy to hear from me.  Thanks.

This particular hobbyiest's first email communication with me, ended with...
"Any chance you would be interested in meeting with me?"

To which my response to him was...

Dear SoAndSo Hobbyiest,

Any chance I would be interested in meeting with you?  Are you kidding me?!?!  First of all, a big hats of to you, and thank you, thank you, thank you!

Congratulations, you just made my absolute day, probably my week!

What did you do?  It was your email, it was actually informative.  It had everything I needed to try and start screening,  And Oh My God, you actually took the time to write an intro about about you.  And it appears, you put good amount of thought into as well.  It even has a review board handle too!  I'm so giddy I could dance.

You even complimented me, and said I was pretty.  Thank you, that means so much!

You did absolutely everything right, and you hadnt even seen my website yet to know what I would want for screening, but you offered up enough info to get the ball rolling!  Not only that, you did it all in one failed swoop, without me having to ask, beg, plead, or pull teeth to get anything.  

I quit doing all of that BTW.  My remedy to all that?  The delete button, works like a charm.

Okay, being as I just heard from you 15 minuets ago, I havent officially got to screen you yet, but, I have a week to still do that, but in my book, YOU'RE SCREENED!

I've had problems too. One provider I called and left a message with my name and phone number and asked what she needed to get me verified. This is what her website instructed me to do. I didn't hear back so I then e-mailed her and included more information and again asked what else she needed. Still no response. I won't try again.

My question to providers is that if a hobbyist has a really common name, will you ignore calls and e-mails thinking I am giving  you false information? I am willing to give more information when you call me back, but it seems like I get shut down before that.

If you PM the provider on TER she may never have seen it. I know of one lady who I saw and who was posting on the regional boards; who did not know she had email here until I mentioned it to her.
