 I emailed a provider a few days in advanced of the day I had some time available, and when she asked for references I gave the 2 that I have (remember I'm new). But since then she has not responded to my email. I have only sent one additional email asking what time she would prefer. Still no response. My question is, should I never contact her again? Was there something wrong with one of my references? Or did something maybe come up and she might be available sometime in the future?

Generally 3 days is the unofficial limit to wait before moving on.

If it has been three days, then by all means find someone else.

I suppose it is possible one of your references did not pan out.

If this repeats, that would just about cinch that theory, so start over and get new references by seeing newbie friendly gals.

Can you think of any reason your reference might have deep-sixed you?  Maybe you should write to them and ask first.

It was 2 days ago that I last heard from her. I know one of my references is good and she said she would be a reference for me, the other is a good one too as far as I know, but did not get an OKAY from her, never asked. She was my first since starting.

I would send an email asking if your reference info was sufficient or if she needs additional info.
If you still do not receive a response within a day or two I would move on.
After that with still no response she is probably not interested even though a return email would be nice.

So I emailed back, she asked if I had another reference, so I think I might have to find another newbie friendly provider. Thanks for the advice, I'm not 100% on etiquette, so I try to be as gentlemanly as possible.

if you have no more references to give her ask if she has any other screening method besides references.
When in doubt feel free to ask here we all were new at one point

There are lots of provider in the business. She can't be that good. Fuck her!

i usually expect a response within 24hrs, 48 tops. I've found it easier to start with a pre-verify request through P411 so the lady can see you've already been verified and you're not a time waster just looking for email discussions. After she sees my profile and my Okays, we then engage in email discussions and don't have to PM through P411 anymore.  

not one single time that a gent has prescreened or written for an appointment has it come through. Each one has been a waste of time. I have better luck with those who simply write me a nice message thru the P411 message system. While I always respond to screening requests because you have to, I always take them with a grain of salt.

I only use pre verify or appt request when I'm ready to commit to a date. I guess we're not all respectful of each other's times

there are men who do actually book appointments that way!
