When I find out exactly what TER admin expects of me, I will let you know.  Have to admit, I'm getting kinda curious myself.  Been dealing with some medical issues so I haven't been as quick with the responses as I would like to be, so again, I thank you for your  unsolicited, but very much appreciated, assistance......

The only names that appear in red now, would be admin. It sometimes shows up as "Admin" or "Board Admin" or "Discussion board Admin." I haven't seen admin post here, but you will see them on other boards. (esp Atlanta and Florida where all the recent changes started) No other posters names will be in red. Moderators used to be in red, and if you look at posts on this board from swim prior to Feb 4, his name would have been in red as he was the moderator. I don't know if they will eventually have the host and hostess names in red, but if so it is not the case yet, as swim is now host of this board and his name is in black.

That's it as far as posters names in red. Now other things do change to red. The post subject line will change to red, after you have clicked on it. Dates change to red after a while, but that has been a mystery as to why and when they do. Asked many times but never answered by anyone in the know.

Medical stuff isn't serious, just several things at once, and having to remember which doctor to go to when....lol

GingerTaylor1234, so I assume she's a board Hostess.  I'll check out some of the other local boards.  Maybe that's where they're starting with the Host/Hostess thing.

Like inicky I only see one name in red in Atlanta. and it appeared to just have happened starting on 2/9. On her prior posts, her name is in black. So I guess she is the hostess. Apparently, they will be making the host and hostess names in red now. Was wondering if they would. Of course swim is supposedely a host here and his name is not in red. It would make sense that Atlanta is where they are starting. This was where all the changes started. It would also make sense that a hostess would appear suddenly with no announcement, because that is usually how TER makes changes.

If you click open a thread where you can read all the posts, you will see multiple names in red.

Apparently Florida has a hostess too. It was Atlanta and Florida where all this was started back in mid January, so they woud be expected to be the firts two boards with hosts or hostesses.

I read that in your earlier post, but I only see one name: Ginger in Atlanta, and Haley in Florida. I will check again, but my guess is a technincal glitch

Apparently you are in flat mode. I never use flat mode. I always use tree mode. I hate flat mode. However, I just switched just to see if maybe names would be red in flat mode, and maybe that is what you were seeing. Low and behold, I see all kinds of names in red. It appears that after Ginger's post, everyone below her has their name in red. Doesn't make any sense. It has to be a technical glitch, and it definitly does not happen in tree mode. Anyway sorry to doubt you. you are not seeing things. It is just the dfferent modes. inicky and I were not seeing the same thing.

I guess technically that makes it a little more work since in flat mode everything is there to read, and in tree mode you have to click on each post, but us old timers that have been around a lot longer than the flat mode has been around, tend to prefer the tree mode. The tree mode makes it easier to follow the thread as far as who is replying to who. (by the way the posts line up). It also makes it easier to ignore someone or not read certain posts because you just don't click on them. Sometimes people posting in flat mode reply to the wrong people. There was a thread on the GD board a couple weeks ago that turned into a train wreck only because someone replied to a post, and a different poster, (reading in flat mode apparently) thought the repy was directed at them, which it obviously wasn't (for anybody in in tree mode). Anyway, I guess whatever works for poeple. I like "tree." I have heard that "flat" works well for picture theme day threads on some of the regional boards since, all the pics will be out to scroll instead of having to click on each post.

As far as your seeing the red names, you are not losing it. lol. But since it shows up only in flat mode and not tree, it has to be a glitch. (the names other thatn Ginger) Funny you were the only one to notice or mention it, and you did it here. Nobody on the boards in question said anything on those boards! No one even mentioned the one name in red, for a whole day.

I just noticed that this thread is actually a good example of what I was saying about the replies being out of place in flat vs tree mode. At least no train wreck was started and I knew who you were talking to, but check this out: If you are in flat mode right now, switch to tree for a while, and look at this very thread. You will see that your post “look at all those 'names'” looks like it is a response to mrfisher, yet it is actually a reply to my post “Hi fallon.” Then, your other post “How do you read,” is obviously a reply to my, “OK I see” post, but it is lined up as a reply to your own post, “Re: Only”

Yeah it can be confusing. Just another one of those TER quirks
