Good point. I agree. I appreciate your view. Thanks.

Hello All,

Let me say that I put quite a bit of value on someone taking the time to add a salutation to an email, a closing, and a signature.

For example, if I have made an initial inquiry and get a response back that says, for example, in its entirety:

so when do you wanna date?  --sent via iPhone

I know that you ladies get many inquiries and you want to answer them all and you are trying to cram in as many responses as possible. I get it. Still, if you choose to respond to someone, you will sound quite different (to me anyway--and older guys) if you respond:

Hey Godzilla,

Thank you for your note! Would you be a bit more specific on when we can meet?

Warmly,

Mothra

The first message (which I have essentially received several times) creeps me out. Just come screw me already, is the message I get. The second message (which I have also received) warms the little cockles of my heart (and other cockles, too). To me it says: You might be interesting to get to know.

We are all free to choose how we pursue this hobby, but I will always choose to go with a bit of warmth at the start.

Peace Love Dove,

Magoo

Go and see some gals that aren't advertising 15 and 30 minute rates.

And really give a gal who has a two hour minimum a shot.  I doubt you'll get many replies such as you're complaining about that way!

I have an auto response to take care of this, because if a guy sends me a one liner with no refs, I am not going to pull the screening info. out of him. My website is not exactly cryptic in what I require, and I still get dipshits asking "Are u available?" I will not even bother responding.

I hear what you are saying. All I didn't know was the exact time that I would be available.

I provided all screening information and wrote enough to show that I had read website/reviews.

One would expect a short reply (or even none) if the inquiry were cryptic, shall we say.

I get these one liner emails "hey, are you available?" sometimes I get one word "Hello" emails.
These type of emails I delete I feel if a gent cannot provide a short introductory email about himself and add his references he is not serious.Even if he just wants to check on a certain day availability there is a way to word it so it is just not a lackluster request. Some are better on emails than others and I know at times people get busy but the short one sentence emails just lack warmth IMO.
You are doing fine:)

congeniality and warmth are a must in any first time mails..she will feel comfortable..so will you..'i would love to see you' or 'i am excited to see you. always work..every provider has barriers you must cross..the 'first impression' barrier sometimes is the most difficult..

I understand your point completely. The short emails you get must be tiresome as all get-out.

My point was only that my faves have all turned out to be ladies who take just a little time to communicate after all screening info has been forwarded. I know it's a digital age which makes fast short communication possible. The digital age is just part of my problem of having a six volt mind in an eight volt world.

you only get one opportunity to make a first impression.

And my guess is since the OP claims it is all the gals he is contacting...the problem lies with HIM.

I've done this a few times over the years...and have YET had that type of cryptic reply from ANY gal.

Maybe I'm an anomaly?

Actually, no, it is not *all* the girls--just two or three that I thought looked fun!

I did not mean to imply that happened all the time. Upon rereading, I can see that I perhaps left that impression with my original post.

Mea culpa.
