Hi Hi Hi ☺

Im a total NEWBIE, to the business and to this site. So I need to some help as I am a bit confused. 😞 I'm located in the West Texas Region and I dont see a section for my area where I could put a provider ad up. So where do I do this? At the closest region to my location?

Next, I've notice providers have a TER iD. What is that? How do I know if I have one? Where can I find my TER iD?

Can someone please help me out and explain some of the info. to me? It would be greatly appreciated! 😆

Hi I replied to your first post, With a rather long reply, but it was held in moderation, then yiur post disappeared and now it's back in a different form. It looks like you edited it. I replied with the same reply (although some of it will not be relevant because of your edit) Anyway neither of my replies posted. Hopefully one of them will shortly.

As far as ads go, it looks like New Mexico is your best bet, or other cities.  You can't post an ad unless you have a personal website or an ad on an escort mall site, like backpage.  You will not have an ID here until someone gives you a review, then admin will assign you an ID#.

Suggest you read the self help center, link under the life preserver at top of page.  Feel free to PM me if you have questions, I am the newbie board host.

You don't get a TER ID number until you get a review here. The first reviewer sets up your profile, then you get an ID number. Once you do get your first review, you should contact TER admin to have the review profile linked to your username. This will give you Free limited provider VIP. That allows you to read your own reviews, and to use the PM system.
If you want full VIP (which allows you to read all reviews and opens up more search options) you have to pay for it.
You should also correct any errors or "don't knows" in your profile since the reviewer who sets it may get it wrong.

Linking your username to your review profile will also put a direct link to your reviews under your name every time you post on a discussion board. The best way to cobtact TER to get the link, is to email them (from the same email that is in your review profile) at [email protected].
You can also try using the "contact us" button (which is on all TER pages) but make sure your email address on your user account is the same as the one on your review profile.

There is a chance you already have reviews here. To find out, go to reviews tab, and click on search reviews. Try searching under your provider name, email address, location, phone number etc. If you find reviews, go ahead and claim them and ask for the link as mentioned above. If you don't find any, you will have to be patient and wait for them to come.

As for ad boards, use the closest regional ad board, or the "other cities" ad board. You may even do both alternating between the two. You can post an ad once a week, but there are rules for posting them. Look for "provider ad posting guidelines" in the self help center.

Speaking of the self help center, you can find it at the top of all discussion board pages near the life preserver. Definitely check it out. Read all of it. (even the info for hobbyists) Lots of good info there. You might also want to read back a bunch of pages on this newbie board. Lots of questions get asked repeatedly (including the ones you just asked)

One little note to be careful about. TER doesn't allow other review sites to be mentioned here. P411 is a verification site, not a review site so that one is fine. The other site you mentioned in your first post is not that may be why your post disappeared. I know you are new and didn't know, so this is just a be careful warning so that you can keep posting here.

Come back and ask more questions here when you have them. Swimtrekr (the host) and all his highly unpaid assistants are very helpful.

Welcome to TER ! Good luck!

Thanks so so so much Perfect Storm! I appreciate the lengthy and detailed response. I apologize you had to post it multiple times. 😟 My first posting was removed, and after reading your post, I realize it was because of my mention of that "other site". Lol. 😁

Thanks to you, I now understand the TER iD. I was under the impression I would receive one after signing up. I was not explained how any of these things work. I just kept seeing providers on my online site (Backpage) with these TER iD & P411 numbers and left to figure it out on my own. Thanks to you though, I understand very goodly now. Lol.

Thanks for all the info., I will go search the reviews and begin my descent into TER membership.

Thanks a million

Thanks Swim!
I appreciate your help for guiding me towards which area to post in. Can I post in both New Mexico and the other cities board simultaneously or will I need to alternate my postings?

I don't believe you can post on both boards unless you are touring.  Read the ad posting guidelines again in the self help center, I think that will help you.

Good luck,

TER is not the dominant site in Texas, and in W Texas I would suspect that your TER ads won't get you a lot of business.

My suggestion is to use P 411 and that "other" Texas based site to advertise on. The bad news is that W Texas is not a "hobbying hot spot", the good news is that there isn't a lot of competition either. So if you develop a good rep, your dance card should stay full.
