I might take you up on that! I've heard that LE is crazy hot there, though.

If you come to Chicago, you can charge me a higher rate.

Living in Cincinnati, my rates are definitely in the upper bracket for the area, but that got me thinking: if I were to tour some other areas, would it be prudent to adjust my rates accordingly? For example, let's say I were to tour NYC or Chicago or something, would I jack up my price? My base rates are very high for southern Ohio, but in NYC I've seen gals with rates of $1k/hr and what not. Conversely, if I were to tour Tennessee or the Carolinas, would I then lower my rates to be more competitive with the existing market?

Ladies and gents alike, feel free to chime in here. I'd love to get a few different perspectives.

Again, this will come down to what works for YOU, in YOUR business model.

Lots of ladies adjust their rates up or down depending on where they perceive they fall in a given town's looks/ratings/rates/etc market as well as needing to factor in travel costs for tours.  If they're visiting Podunk, KS and they believe their look and rating is superior to the local talent, they'll place their rate just above the "high" rate for the area (which may be higher, or lower, than their home base rate).  If they feel there are plenty of hot girls with great reviews for cheap (like Miami is generally considered to be), they'll place their rates somewhere in the middle or even lower to try to attract attention.  They may raise their rates if they tour NYC simply because the cost of living is so much higher and they have to cover higher expenses.  If you go this route of adjusting for each micro-economy, there are tons of factors to consider and it's hard to ever know if you've hit the right price mark, or under or overshot it.

Other ladies keep consistent rates regardless of where they travel.  Some trips will have better margins than others but in the end, it washes out to something that works for them over all.

I happen to be a fan of the latter concept as A) it works for me and B) the other way seems like such a pain in the ass that I don't care to bother with it. ;-)

s a New York hobbyist, we are certainly used to ladies adjusting (always up, never down...but I digress) to account for the high cost of New York City (Hotels, food, general expenses, etc.). You are certainly within your right to do so should you decide to conduct business here. Nobody would fault you.

However, I wouldn't make the jump to anywhere close to $1000 an hour. The competition in New York is extremely high and you will have a very difficult time booking appointments. I think your current rates are fine ($550 for 90 minutes).

Also, many New York hobbyists do not have time to invest 90 minutes into a session (which seems to be the minimum session time based on your website). You may want to consider an hourly rate while on tour (say $500 for in-call)

I have never offered an hour whilst touring NYC...ever. I asked 800 for 2 hours and saw one client a day, then two the next. Hourly clients are a different breed,  which is why more providers are getting away from even offering an hour.

Just because a guy does not have time for 90 min. does not mean the provider should lower her rate. They can leave in an hour at the current rate if they so desire.  Yes, NYC is a seriously competitive market, which is why I would never live there or try to work full time. For touring providers offering something different, most do quite well even if that means tacking on 2 days in Stamford at the tail end of the trip where hotels are a third of the cost. I literally charged double in NYC than in Stamford, and had guys driving the hour to Stamford to get the lower rate lol. It averaged about the same, because at 400 a night for a hotel in NYC I was only clearing about 380 a day. In Stamford where the hotels were only 150, I could get away with asking only 4-500.

I've always changed my rates depending on the city, but my VIP rates are across the globe. If a guy wants me in California which is clear across the country, he pays the same rate as one only requesting me 2 hours away.

I have seen a lot of ladies adjust theri rates when they travel but not all do. You need to cover your travel expenses but also price yourself within the market that customers will pay. EC made some good comments of how it can work both ways.

I have seen some ladies hold their rates no matter where they were, and others that adjusted for the market. For example, I knew a las Vegas provider who was 300/hr at home, but when she came to Hawaii she charged 350. I think she charged 400 in another market, then she was 200 in Kansas, and 250 in Oklahoma City. On the other hand I have seen some 600 Los Angeles ladies maintain the rate in other cities.

I think what doesnt work is raising your rate above your normal rate and above the area average when you tour. As an example of that, there was a popular Chicago lady who charged 300/hr in Chicago. She announced a tour to Hawaii but put her tour rate at 500/hr. The average in Hawaii is probably 350. Guess what? She got no interest and cancelled the trip. Now I think if she kept her home rate of 300 for her tour or bumped it slightly to 350, she would have done very well on a Hawaii tour. On the other hand, if her Chicago rate was already 500, and she was well regarded and well reviewed there, she probably could have come to Hawaii at 500 and still do okay. The problem was trying to jack up the rate above her home rate and above the local rate just for the tour.

In your case I think you could definitely up your rates in NY or LA or Vegas, and either maintain or lower slightly for Atlanta, Carolinas, Florida, etc.

If you come to Chicago, you can charge me a higher rate.

Speaking for myself, I haven't had problems with LEs here just do your screening and be careful and you will be okay.

If you come to minnesota anywhere I want to be the first to book with you!

living or touring.

If you tour NYC, hotel costs are about the highest in the US; restaurant costs too. As your expenses go up, so should your rates; a good business model is to make a profit. Starbucks costs more in NYC than Ohio; so should the company of a fine lady.

Likewise, why should I pay NYC rates if a provider from NYC visits Florida when I can enjoy the company of a nice Florida lady at Florida rates.

I'm based out of NYC, and at 500/hr have midrange rates for the city. That pricing wouldn't fly in the places I tour (Hawaii, NOLA, SF) so I lower my rates while traveling to reflect that. I still keep them a little above average for the city I'm in because I prefer not to work high volume.
