Old timers used to call this the newbie manual. It's in dark blue bold type at the top of the main page of the newbie board. Do not be so quick to send your real name to anyone. And I hope the number you gave was your cell phone. You might want to consider a hobby phone if you have a s/o. You are going to have a hard time without references, which is what I think this escort may have meant by "your info"  Here are some ideas for you to get started. Join a referral site like date check, rs2000 or p411, these are reputable sites that you can give personal info.  Second look for a "newbie friendly" escort.  You will find that phrase normally on a ladies web site. Escorts have numerous ways of screening you. Only give personal info to well reviewed escorts. You will need Patience, but all hobbyist were newbies at one time. Sometimes just sending a well thought out email that will appeal to an escort may work. Do not try and talk a lady into seeing you, Some ladies will go with their gut, screen you very lightly. I apologize for acting like such a newbie, but truth is that is exactly what I am.  :-)

I sent an e-mail to a provider with my full name and phone number (like her ad said to) and I asked her if she would see a white guy (she is black).  Her response was "send me your info."

Exactly what info is she looking for?  I don't have any references or anything like that.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Consider joining a screening service like Datecheck or P411 to assist you in your quest.

Also, all good providers should make clear on their sites what information they are looking for in order to set up an appointment, so take your cues from there.

Finally, I can't over emphasize how important it is to thoroughly read the Self Help or Newbie Manual that HH mentions.

It has a wealth of information that will assist you to enjoy this hobby.

get a hobby phone & a hobby email (free) not linked to your regular e-mail.  Unrelated PW also.  Promise yourself to not do anything dumb.  Read the Newbie Manual.  Then read back on this board until you can answer every Q yourself.   Your understanding of "anything dumb" will change just as mine did.  
You have good advise already.  When you are ready to actually hobby, you need VIP.  Read the full reviews & select someone who offers what you are looking for.   I make a bucket list when I have VIP.   Let the lady know you are new as some offer alternative screening.
Best advise is to invest in reading...  no one can do it through the filter of your situation.  You must do the homework.
