As it turns out, Provider A cancelled her appointments, including mine, in the city she was visiting. Some sort of family problem. If I hadn't just happened to be checking the regional ad boards (something I almost never do) I wouldn't have known about the cancellation as she didn't contact me, and would have driven a couple hours to the city this weekend.

those rats that have a choice between pressing a lever for either food or cocaine, and are found dead in their cage the next morning!  (with white mustaches) I scare me........

I must say she is very unprofessional for not contacting you personally to cancel.

She's a well-established, well-reviewed provider. I suspect her assistant didn't take care of this because today's a holiday. Anyway, I hope that's the reason.
