On one hand, we want the lady to remember everything about us each time we see her, on the other hand we want her to destroy all our info. Someone please tell me how that works? Perfect memory, or just so blown away by our glory that it is burned into her memory forever? Maybe you...
Everyone keeps some information, but most keep it in a form that may not be terribly organized or much use to anyone else. In the end, the greatest risk is that you get caught (or get killed, for that matter) by someone you know and love, and based on information you keep. Do not worry too much about the provider/agency info. Even if she/they do get busted and LE gets your info, it most likely only gets used to squeeze you the tiniest bit, just say no, move on. It is very unlikely it can be used to prosecute you for any crime, though I suppose it could be used to embarrass you (though that may carry its own risks for whoever is using it).
Not a lawyer, so value that for what I charged you.

After you are screened, how much of your personal info is kept? In theory I would like them to keep none so that it could not come back to bite.
But if they keep nothing they would have to screen you every time you call.
What is common practice?
They no longer need it once you're screened. All they need to know is if your handle is on their "screened list," so they don't really need it after that. As to whether they actually keep it, that's another question. Most don't. But if the agency gets busted all bets are off. If they've kept some client info, LE will get it and the agency may give it up just to lighten their charges by playing ball. Bottom line, if you want to play, it's a risk you need to take. And it applies to indies as well, though indies are less likely to get flipped.
Well, Ill say a little more, I was around for this bust. While I was fortunate enough not to be on the client list, others I knew were on the list. Inicky is correct, if busted all bets are off. Indies, have other issues, like sending unwanted to texts and emails. Or sending group emails without using bcc feature.
Make sure to have a hobby phone and separate hobby email. Cover your tracks as best you can.
Somethings are out of your control, only you can decide on the risk level you're will to accept.
And the ladies I am close to do keep the info and claim they don't. Plus locally they have locals. I could give you an example that has happened not too long ago of a indy that flipped but she has been delisted and my will get post pulled. She dropped off the grid anyway.
The rule of thumb is both agencies and indies save all the info they have on you for as long as they can which is forever.
Count on any personal info that you might share during a date to end up in their black book. Any information indies might gather from third party screening or background services from the internet is also fair game and some indies will do this. If you are married, have kids, great job or an important figure, it can be used to blackmail you later on.
It is very important to be careful with the kind of personal info you share with providers at all times.
If a provider or agency is busted and has a chance to throw you under the bus to save her own skin, count on her to do it.
Wow! You sound very negative. Did you have a poor experience?
Throwing one under the bus works both ways. Keep that in mind.
There are also a lot more good people then bad, but there is not a shortage of bad people. It is one of the reasons most providers use a stage name after all. I had my information fall into police hands when the police inspected a provider I have seen phone. Ladies do store information, not all but many, so do guys. Everyone must stick to giving out only what information they feel safe doing so as it could leak.
He is voicing the facts. If you think that is negative, then so be it. He is however, correct.
