New to the hobby and just want to start by thanking all the hobbyists and providers for their insight!!!
TER has kept me busy reading and I've learned a lot, but I wanted to get a more "practical" answer to the following...looking back at your first experience, what would be one thing that you would do differently?
For the providers, what would be one thing that you'd want a newbie to do differently?
The ads for penis enlargement and increased stamina are artificial needs created by Madison Avenue to sell products to insecure men.
Only a tiny percentage of women truly want or enjoy a 8" long 3" diameter penis pounding their cervix into a painful internal contusion.
Neither do they wish you to be an unrelenting fucking machine making a marathon out of an otherwise very enjoyable activity that nature intended to last for 3 - 7 minutes.
I'd simply be less worried about the whole paying for time and companionship thing. After all, it's just human nature, so we all enjoy the company of an attractive woman. And if paying for it is the way to get it, so be it. It definitely took me some time to get over that mental block.
My first booking was through an agency and they had rented a hotel room for the day. I turned up early and the agency owner left. I was nervously waiting for the client when, to my horror, I realised I hadn't brought any condoms!
Luckily the agency owner was still in the hotel and when I called her for help she went to the bathroom and bought some from a machine and brought them up to me before the client arrived. Phew! lol
and always thought with my big head.
Easy to say now.
Mine was about 12 years ago, and I responded to an ad in a sex magazine indicating full figured women available. I called and was told to call again from a specific street corner (not knowing how the game was played, it made me quite nervous) When I called again, the woman on the phone asked, is that you in the leather jacket? Now I was even more nervous as I was being watched. For some reason I did not run, but rather waited on the phone to get the exact address. I went up to the apartment and was greeted by the madam. She introduced me to two very skinny ladies. I had the courage to say out loud the ad in the paper said you had heavier women (my personal preference). Next thing I knew the madam states. "Oh God, he wants me" (she definitely was heavier!). Before I know it, she is leading me into the bedroom. She tells me she normally only does S&M (had the equipment on the wall to prove it) but since I was cute (later I would learn this to mean because I had money) she would fuck me. Okay. She tells me to strip and lie on my back. I immediately oblige. She pretty much covers me up and gives me an adequate covered BJ. After a few minutes, she states, "Now I will fuck you". She mounts me CG and bounces up and down for about five minutes before I came. She politely excuses herself and gets a towel for me to clean up with. I am still a little nervous (don’t know why) about the whole thing, so I dress fairly quickly. I then fumble through my wallet and hand her money. She takes it. I say thanks, and she hugs me and I am on my way. As I am leaving, I am thinking, wow, I just had my first provider!
Looking back on it, there is not much I would have done differently other than I prob. would have not handed her the money directly (left it on a table instead). Other than that the session went as well as could be expected. Obviously, these were the days before TER and all the information we have today.
of my first experiences. I knew nothing about TER, nothing about agency or individual provider web sites and nothing about EROS, etc. My first forays were while I was on business and using either yellow pages and/or local print ads.
#1 was a horrifying B&S that I miraculoulsy managed to walk away from before exchanging fees. #2 was a rip-off resulting in the most unsexy HJ in the history of mankind. #3 was a shameful completion with a drunken/stoned party girl. And finally #4, by pure luck mind you, was a dream come true. A beautiful, mature, intelligent and genuinely nice woman gave me an unforgettable night. As we talked later on and I contiunoulsy barraged her with sincere thanks and gratitude for her graciuosness, she discovered my lack of hobbying knowledge and learned of my bad experiences. She literally took me by hand, walked me over to my lap top and she showed me TER, EROS, etc.. She showed me how to use these tools to assure nothing but good times in the hobby.
Three years later I have yet to have another bad experience and in fact I have had the greatest times with truly amazing women. I could never thank the woman who showed me the hobbying ropes enough.
I think I would have gone with a more "girl next door" type provider. My first time was with a knockout college co-ed and I felt like I was way out of my league even though she was very nice and very understanding. I was extremely nervous and her being so gorgeous just made it that much tougher. However, since then, things have gone amazingly well 
Thank God that place is gone.

To be perfectly honest I was extrememly lucky with my first provider. Well maybe not exactly lucky, I did do alot of research on TER before making that first choice.
Sure there are probably a few things I would have changed about my performance since I was extremely nervous. But she was (is) incredibly hot, incredibly talented sexually and best of all provided a full GFE experience including some awesome post-coital snuggling.
I have seen her numerous times since, and she continues to set the standard against which all my hobby experiences are compared.
