Just looking for a little help.  Let me rephrase this.  If I am a newbie and a provider has been reviewed, is there any advice as to how to know if the provider / reviews are legit?  Thanks to all!

If you upgrade to VIP, you can click on the reviewer's handle and see how many other reviews he's written. If a provider has only one review, and it's by a reviewer with only one review, that's suspicious.

Also, look to see if the reviewer participates in any of the discussion boards. That's always a positive sign.

1. Does she have several reviews. 10 or more.  
2. Have the guys that reviewed her written reviews of many other providers. The more they have written the better to determine how legit the provider is and that her reviews can be believed.
3. If she only has one review and her reviewer has only reviewed her you can't be so sure. Even if he reviewed one or two others it's still iffy.

Some guys have a certain number for these categories that puts their mind at ease about seeing her.

If you can contact any of her reviewers by PM (a private message) here on TER that can tell you a lot.

The conventional wisdom for newbies is to see providers that have many reviews by guys that have written many reviews. Get the paid VIP membership so you can read the general & juicy details of her reviews as well as see her entire profile. Read the Self-Help Center linked at the upper right of this boad under the red & white life preserver. Read this board several pages back to see all the common questions and answers. Then come back here to ask anything you couldn't find that you wanted to know. Learn to use the search function on this board by just looking for things.

Two big red flags:

1. Her only reviewer(s) only has one review
2. Her reviewer has a few reviews, but scores girls much higher than her other reviewers

I've known about reviewers who 'barter' for better reviews - they ask for a variety of things including discounts, freebies, and special favors. Those guys can be tough to detect, as they may review lots of girls and give a variety of scores. I've known of several like this...they barter with who they can, but see other girls too and review them more honestly. These men can overlap with the other group known as 'shills'...they also review and otherwise promote girls/agencies in return for special treatment. Even for seasoned hobbyists and board readers, that can be very difficult to detect (altho sometimes it's pretty easy).

My advice would be to find girls with a few reviews written by reviewers with a few reviews. Don't trust the numbers - just use the review text to get a general feel for how she runs her business, and how happy her clients were with the services they received.  

Just because a girl has only one review, or her reviewer has only one, doesn't necessarily mean she (and he) are not legit...some girls don't work that much, some clients don't review that much, some reviewers only review when asked to. A very low percentage of dates translate into a review, and some business models don't attract as many people of the reviewing mindset. But if you want to play it cautious, it's better to see a well-reviewed girl.

If she has 10 pages of reviews and 3/4ths are from newbies, not a good sign. OTOH if two full pages are from established reviewers, that's really all it takes to confirm that the newbie reviews are dead on. There are just so many ways to manipulate the system, that no one can tell for sure. 'Many' providers with solid 10s, are also the very ones who blackmail for high scores at times, because they are more concerned with a faux sense of ego, than customer service.  

So, just as there are red flags with women who are not reviewed, those same flags have been noted from the guys about girls with nothing but 10s. There are guys on this board who will not see a woman who has solid 10s, because they feel it's too unrealistic, and they will be pressured into giving a 10 even if they think she is only an 8.  I am not saying I agree, but it's certainly posted a lot on the General Board.
