Hello Fellow Newbies, I'm Ella of Washington DC and Philadelphia.

Do you only get a TER ID# if you've been reviewed, purchase a VIP (or become eligible for one)?  I've been looking for my ID# on here without much success.

Seems I'm just as eager as the Newbie guys are on this discussion board but also equally paranoid.  Like skydiving for the first time or something, the odds may be in our favor but ... yikes!  Talk about an added thrill.

And factor in the issue of having no web-reputation (or reviews in my case) but some quality experience.

If anyone has a helpful tip or two on smoothly entering the online community, please share.

Here's to perseverance, safe encounters and future friends!

Hi Ella,

Another idea you might want to consider. Per your discretion, you can always hint to a client to check out TER and post a review of you. This can work well two ways. You may get your first review faster and we may get another good guy to join our community. Good luck Ella. I'm sure you will be just fine. You sound like a wonderful young lady!!

To the left under regional board, use the drop down window to locate Wash DC and Philly. Once you have a board presence and reviews, business should come your way. Just don't be a board diva.

I'm fairly new as well and have yet to get my first review. It takes a while, even longer considering that even if a client you refer to TER writes a review it will most likely be denied because neither for you have review history. So you almost always have to wait for a reviewed TER member to "take one for the team" as they call it and take a chance with you. Good luck!

Hi Sweetie,
I have been in this business less than a year and its a slow steady process to get established.  Be patient and you will be rewarded!  If you advertise well, participate in discussion boards, and keep being the best you can be you will be just fine. ;)  I wish you the best of luck!
xoxo

A new provider can help herself by particpating on these boards but especially the local regional board(s) for her areas.  One ad per 7 days though you can update that ad with details & changes as a reply.
Without being a board hog, it's ok to participate on other boards & I've become familiar with a few ladies I might not have noticed...  which resulted in dates.  It does take time to get established.  Just as with any business.
Learn to screen carefully.
Best Wishes,
skb
