I'll introduce myself, I'm in the 60 - 65 age range and new to this hobby. I've paid for my VIP membership but hope to soon maintain it through reviewing. I'm really enjoying the quality reviews but have an issue with the shorthand used. Is there a definition list maintained somewhere on TER that I could use? For instance YMMV is often used but in a context that doesn't fit my definition; Your Mileage May Vary.

Cheers

In the self-help center, another good resource is the urban dictionary.  Your Milage May Vary, means your experiance may be different than mine.

There are two parts of the terms/abbreviations list in the self help center.  Don't just read them, read the whole thing.  It has lots of good info to help you enter this wonderful enterprise we have here.  After reading it, come back here if you still have questions.

You might want to introduce yourself on your local regional board, start posting on threads there, that will help the area's providers know you are serious about this.  Also consider joining one or more of the verification sites.  Preferred411, in particular, will work with you to get you verified since you have no provider references yet.
