and since you have no refs, you will have to provide them with some personal information. Gina, the owner, is very good at working with guys in your position. Their servers are not in the US and thus safe from search by our government. It is better to give the site some personal info then to have to give it to several providers until you can get some references. P411 allows the provider members there to indicate if they are newbie friendly, and those are the ones you should look for. Generally, that means their screening is lighter than most. Once you have seen a few, you can build up a list of providers who will vouch for you.

The last thing providers have time to do is be your private teacher of how to make arrangements. Almost every provider that is newbie friendly has her website give clear instructions what to "be prepared" for.
Not just "be prepared" but be ready now to give that information. If you have no references then you already know you have issue. Join the P411, and still" be prepared". Just being member P411 and have no OK is not golden key.
Here is a board that has many 100 of posts similar to yours. All have same replies. Join verification site, seek profiles that are newbie friendly and then "be prepared". Search the board and you will see what it takes.
I am newbie friendly, but read my website. It is simple and like many others. "be prepared" and send the information to begin with. Do not make a provider try walk you trough the steps like a child.
