Doormen are a NYC thing mostly....

What do you think about this? When I went to go meet a provider, I didn't particularly like the fact that there was a doorman. This one even stopped me and asked me which apt I was going to.

Is it a good idea to ask the provider next time if she has a doorman? I don't want to freak her out or anything but the doorman sucks!

Never happened to me, but if it did I would NOT like it.  She should explain beforehand what you should expect at her incall.  Of course, in reality, she's probably paying the guy not to hassle her clients.  But surprises are only good in this business after you're in bed.  Like, when she pulls out a vibrator and uses it on herself while giving you head.

I mean, its her incall, and I am pretty sure a doorman asked her which level she was going to. I would think that she would have thought that this was an inconvenience to some people.

Also, be careful, some incalls have elevators that require a key or pass to function. In that case, the provider will meet you or notify you.

But, with the doorman, I would have been a bit disappointed because that invades discretion. And, she should have notified you about this ahead of time to prepare you for the protocol.

and twice I've seen gals in NYC with doormen, and each time they notified me what to do and what to say to the DM so there would be no hassle.

They tip their DM well obviously and that's why things worked out fine.

Shame on a provider with a DM for not giving you some MO when you got there.

Even with experienced hobbyists nerves may be a little on edge. I was recently going to an incall at a hotel and just as I was passing the front desk, a loau woman behind the desk called out "sir" then paused for a second before starting again. I looked in her direction and semi froze before realizing that she was talking to someone else.

I wouldn't be happy going to see a provider at her incall and being surprised by a doorman that I didn't anticipate being at the door. I would see the provider again only if she made fireworks shoot out of my ears once I engaged her. Otherwise, I would move on to a more aware provider.

...I always let new friends know how to procede when visiting for the first time.  Once they have visited with me, they then know where to go and what to say.  I would never blindside a gentleman.

the lady should know the layout & give directions to the gent arriving.  The doorman's job is to keep residents secure...   surely he gets tipped well... but clients should know he's there & what to say.  The same of the hotel lobby...  you need to know where you are going, not be looking for the elevators.  "Through the lobby & on your left" (or where ever) is enough.
