When posting there make sure you mention your newbie status, it may reduce the number of posts inferring or outright accusing you of being LE.

Without a board presence or reviews, many of the veteran posters may be very loathe to steer you towards any of their favorites in the fear that you might either be an axe killer or LE.

Sorry, but paying your dues seems to be the only solution.
