I agree that nobody's personal information should be placed upon a blacklist for a non-dangerous offense. And I've actually never had a NCNS, so I've never blacklisted anybody for that. Not sure if I actually would or not...I guess it depends upon the circumstances. If it was a proven pattern of behavior, if he knew I'd booked a hotel room or traveled a long way, etc.
I have gleaned a lot of useful information from blacklists, that are not necessarily about someone who's dangerous. If I'm about to put down $300 for a non-refundable hotel room, knowing that a guy has a history of NCNS is very valuable information to me. Again, I'm not saying to put him on blast, or include his personal info...just to put enough info (TER handle, hobby email, etc) on a private board, to give a heads-up to the next lady .
Some guys chronically NCNS...like maybe show up to 10% of appointments they book. Really, that's just flat-out disrespectful, so I'd definitely want to know he acted that way before accepting the appointment (I doubt I would)...I'd hate to think of what such a person would be like BCD.
Also, I said this in another post - EVERY client of mine who's shorted me my fee was blacklisted for NCNS, timewasting, or some other silly offense. If he has enough disrespect to NCNS, he might do something worse. One thing I've learned is to pay attention to the little things, and then I don't have to worry about the big ones. Most nice clients would never NCNS another person...if a guy has a record of doing it even once, I take notice. I take other things into account, but I do take notice
