Newbie - FAQ

Depends on when the date is scheduled for. If in the next day or two, find someone else. . . .

Otherwise be patient.  Providers have lives too and sometimes the weekend is not a good time to contact them.

In the future, I would not be giving out detailed information to closer to the date.  Do a two call system where you give her a generic address and when she calls, give her the exact address.

For my first provider, I chose someone who was well-reviewed and would outcall to my home. After a brief email correspondence, this provider put me through a simple work verification screen. Once verified, I asked if we could progress further through email; she said yes. Overeager, I likely divulged too much in my next email: specific times, detailed directions to my home, her beverage of choice (although, to my credit, I did know better than to discuss donations). Having not received a response for a full day, I wrote a follow-up asking if I had broken protocol and whether she would be more comfortable discussing things over the phone. After another day without a response, I contacted her via her site and apologized for screwing things up.

Now, for the advice: Would it be acceptable to contact this provider one last time to inquire about setting up an incall instead, or should I take the hint and just leave this poor woman alone?

setting up an appointment at your home is a dubious practice at best and with a first time provider highly counterindicated.

Such a situation should only be done when you know the provider very well, have no other persons living at your home, and the neighbor situation is not a problem.

Well, she seemed fine with the idea when I first floated it. But I suppose I should have been more discreet with my address. Thanks, guys.
