What are some suggestions for finding a good, reliable provider who delivers the desired services if you are a newbie?

I'm new to the hobby, having scheduled exactly two appointments.  The first went well but the second was a ripoff.

I attempted to research my second appointment but encountered two problems:
1) Many providers do not return e-mails or even completed forms on their websites.
2) Many providers do not return voicemails promptly or at all.

I attempted calling and e-mailing about 30 providers, and got four replies; three negatives and one positive that was later cancelled.  My e-mails and phone messages were courteous, respectful and did not discuss services.  I ended up just using a service from the yellow pages, with bad results.

Short of making it a full-time job, I'm not sure how to contact providers more effectively.

Suggestions?

I don't know what type of providers that you're looking for but when I started over a month ago I quickly found out that CityVibe gals with descent amount of current and positive reviews are pretty much reliable. They are courteous and provisional on returning emails or phone calls. However, I have yet setup same day appointment as I very much like to schedule in advance preferably 4 days ahead. I usually initiated the communication via emails then I followed up with phone calls. In the email I gave them a brief description about me.

I am also a member for another boards (TRZ and RB). I crossed reference the providers review amongst these boards and choose the utmost reviews. Fortunately to date, I have yet negative experience with the providers I chose.

You may check the providers that I reviewed and perhaps they are to your desires. I can vouch that they are very professional and accommodating to newbie.

First Become a VIP member with this great service.  You will be able to see indepth reviews, pricing, contact info, etc.  Being new initially stay away from independents, Craigs List, etc. till you can read between the lines.  Initially see only ladies with multiple reviews. (wish I would of taken my own advice)
Second  Being new did you set up an RS2K membership???  Most will not respond if you do not include this info in your initial request. See other feeds on how beginners should approach providers. Top of page "acronym and newbies manual" will give you some advice. Also what you say in your e-mails and VM could also be your problem.  Again, refer to newbies manual and prvious threads to know how to make initial contact.
Second Agencies tend to be more consistent and reliable. Please keep in mind that the biggest concern for all of clients and providers is LE (law enforcement) so to error on the safe side is paramount. Hence, this is probably what you ran up against. Again, get an RS2K account by going to their web sight, www.roomservice2000.com and follow directions. The more reputable ladies that have a long list of reviews got there by being vigilant and good in corresponding.  Initially stick with them, though they may be slightly higher in $$$.
Any other questions put it out there but do some reading first as I described, as this has been gone over a multitude of times.

Unfortunately this avocation is rife with UNorganized, UNprofessional, and discourteous flakes. This holds true for BOTH providers and patrons.

Keep refining your e-mails and hopefully through both time and practice your batting average will improve.

You ought to pony up and become a VIP member.

Research is a must to avoid rip-offs and other unhappy experience.

It is a bit of work, but it is a lot more enjoyable than searching for a new aparment or job, and we do those things without complaint.

I always research thoroughly before asking any provider for a date, and I am rarely disappointed.

Keep emails short, and NOT too graphic about what you want/expect in a session. (That wiil turn a lady OFF). If you have done your easy TER homework, you will KNOW what a lady offers in a session. Do NOT send pics of yourself naked, or otherwise.

Join Date Check, or Roomservice 2000. Both are escort verification services and will help you get approved/verified by providers. These services are worth the $, and are discreet. Both have websites.

Do NOT EVER see someone without more than 3 solid reviews from reviewers with credibility.

1.  Many do not return e-mails or even completed forms on their website:

 A.  Did you check their calendar to see if they are in town or possibly touring or on vacation?  I know that when I am away, I get numerous webforms from clients wishing to meet when I am not around and do not have e-mail access.

 B.  Did you fully complete the webform?  Many providers have taken the position that they will not respond back to incomplete forms.  Unfortunately, there are some gents who partially complete forms and its like pulling teeth to get all the information you require, with numerous e-mails back and forth.  In the time it takes to get the info, they have booked another appointment for the time you have requested.

 C.  Did you request an appointment at a time the provider is clearly not available or less than their minimum appointment length or are you under their minimum age or over their maximum age?  If a provider indicates she works till 5:00 daily and you requested an 9:00 p.m. appt, while she should write you back to decline, she may not.

2.  Voicemails.  If  provider is booked with an extended appointment, she may not be able to call you on a timely basis.  She may also be wary of calling you back after 5:00 p.m. or the next day unless your message specifically indicated when you can be reached.  The last thing she wants to do is call you during dinner with your family.  I only call back phone calls on the day they were received if I can reasonably call them by 5:00 unless told otherwise by the caller in his message.  I have no way of knowing if it is OK to call the following day or in the evening and would never wish to put a potential client in a difficult position.

Look on your local TER board and see who is advertising availability.  You can also see which providers seem to have a good rep, or who are recommended by others on the board.

search for ladies in the $$ -$$1/2 range you will find a lower percentage of returns whether it be to e-mail or VM.  If you search more upscale ladies you will get a higher percentage of returns.

The basis of this theory is the less expensive ladies are more high volume and therefore have less time to devote to the business part of this.  A lower volumne lady will either take the time to keep her dance card filled or have an assistant that helps her with the scheduling.

I am a lower volume lady that has been accused of being slow to reply to a gentlemen’s request.  Many of my dates are dinner dates or engagements that involve leaving Atlanta.  The gentleman I am with appreciates the fact that my time is devoted to him and not with a phone or answering emails.

First off, you may not find your ATF (All Time Favorite) right off the bat.  There is no guarentee that you'll even have a "great experience".  But if you get a TER VIP membership and stick to providers with several reviews by reviewers who've done a few, you'll at least not get ripped off.  You want to see consistant reviews.

I just read a "ripped off" review this morning.  After he paid her, she sent him out for condoms...  she was gone when he got back.  I always have a couple on hand, just in case.  Anyrate there are more scams than I can count.  NO upsell after she gets the money.  NO rush experiences.

Be honest about how much time you want... what service level you want.  Don't go to quickie expert for a hour or more GFE (Girl Friend Experience).  As you gain experience, you'll devolupe preferances for age or what ever and be able to be more selective.

A recent experience that I've just been through demonstrates that YMMV -always- applies.

I've attempted to contact an extremely well reviewed provider, with a reputation for returning calls quickly. I left her a voice message. What did I say?
"Hi [provider name] my name is [my name]. I was wondering if you might be available sometime tomorrow, maybe in the afternoon or early evening.
I can be reached at area code xxx-xxx-xxxx.
Please call me at your earliest convenience.
Thanks - [my name]."

Pretty creepy sounding huh? She never got back to me.

In despair, I called another provider with smashing reviews. I admit, I'm not a VIP, but the basic reviews provide all the info I would expect to need, specifically, if the provider really looks like the images in her ad, and she provides an enjoyable experience overall.

So I called her, her reviews all saying that she does indeed match her pictures, and that she's slim and toned (the way I like). I called and she picked up right away.

Made the appointment, and when I arrived, I found she was a good 30 or 40 lbs. heavier, and far thicker, then either her pics or the reviews indicated. A lot of guys like this, but not me.

On top of that, she had a pretty serious case of halitosis. I didn't have the heart to tell her.

Now, let me just state, she's a really nice girl, and she really did try to please me - which is why I really can't post a negative review - but in all honesty, she just plain doesn't turn me on.

Need I say I was disappointed?

Incidentally, both of the providers mentioned above are decidedly upscale, not high volume, and have consistently smashing reviews.

Again, I'm convinced, VIP or not, YMMV always applies.

Maybe it's just newbie bad luck.

Correct procedure Ansley.  One of my pet peeves is when a lady keeps her cell phone on.  I try to give the hint when I obviously turn my phone off after she enters my room or I enter her incall.

If we are seeing each other, I want you all to myself, not a slave to the damn phone.

VIP is a must.  Also, make sure the lady is well reviewed...the more, the better, especially from experienced hobbyists.  If she participates in the banter here on the boards or is mentioned favorably here, even better.  Persoanlly, I have a less than 10% rate of non-response in nearly four years of hobbying, but I am selective in whom I contact, with looks not being the main determinant.  Also, if you have references, provide this info when contacting a lady for the first time.  You mentioned that you had at least one meeting that went well...if possible, you might want to establish yourself with her so that you will have a refernce for meeting other ladies...
