I'm a new indy provider and I've had a couple modest overpayments. Not drastically beyond my rate, but enough to mention. I'm wondering whether I should acknowledge them by sending a thank you e-mail or some other sign of appreciation. I certainly don't expect tips and as a somewhat pricey indy girl, I wouldn't say I fall in the category of providers who are more likely to expect and ensure tips above their rates.

I would send a thank you but then I send thank you email after an enjoyable evening.While I am sure the guys aren't expecting a email it would be a pleasant surprise.

and what rates are you charging what are you receiving?

Several reason for this..

1. Could be a tip.

2. You have different rates across different media i.e eros, website etc

3. You have odd rates like 1 hr / $ 390, 2 hrs / $ 770, Dinner / $ 1265.

Banks and ATM machines usually dole out cash in $ 20, 50 and 100 denominations. I suspect your clients are simply rounding your rates to the next highest round number rather than ask you for change which is a strict no-no.

With some ladies it seams the only way to get their rates is to ask.  I'm not sure I see a problem with asking rates if ladies don't display them anywhere. IMHO

Thanks for the replies. My rates are consistent across eros, girl-directory, backpage etc... but I think if a guy inquires with more than one provider, he needs a reminder or confirmation of my rate once he's secured an app w/me. I would consider not listing my rates on eros/gd, so guys would see them on my site later, but I couldn't deal with not listing my rates on backpage, I'd have to weed through so many e-mails, it's easier to just weed people out by stating them up front.
