...there are a zillion posts on this issue, some of them started by Yours Truly over the past few weeks, so just scroll back and let's not reinvent the wheel.  In short, join DateCheck or p411, through them find providers who are newbie friendly.  Do your homework and the rest is easy...Please read the Newbie Manual also.  Don't worry, it's worth the work and lots of fun.  Party on, Wayne!

References are a catch-22, but there are many ladies open to seeing newbies. You will have to be willing to provide your personal information: name, employment, etc. What providers will need from you by way of personal information will vary from lady to lady. Since this can seem intimidating to a newbie, I suggest you start with well reviewed ladies that have a history to help you feel more confident they will treat your information with the appropriate discretion. The philosophy being, they didn't get that well reviewed by being careless with gents info

Join Preferred 411, Date Check or Room Service 2000. Check on local board and see who the girls like. I had the same problem getting my first date. But after I joined P411, I was cleared at 1 pm and had a date at 7 pm.  Welcome and Happy Hunting.  Also, listen to Mrfisher and the other who post regularly. They know the ropes and offer excellent advice.

Here's something I figured out.....

Some providers are in the same boat as you. They're just starting out too, or they don't have reviews for whatever reason. They post on Cityvibe and/or Backpages because they can't yet afford an Eros ad or maybe they don't want to be "high profile", who knows?  You just have to use your wits and separate them from the TGTBT's.  We don't have women's intuition about these things but it's not really that hard.

Also, you can keep trying but not obnoxiously so. There was a provider I wanted to see real bad but she was a stickler for references and one day I responded to an a post she made on the regional board here and she finally said yes.

You are right, JLee.  Last week I contacted a provider who at first was reluctant to see me based on no references but after some back-and-forth e-mailing her instincts told her I was cool and she decided to see me.  We both were happy with the result.  It's just a question of chemistry and not being pushy.  Or maybe I just got lucky!
