I'm sure I'm not the first to ask this, but I don't see an easy query method to sift through previous threads. Yes I'm new to the hobby.
I've read many ads on BP. Why do some providers give their contact number like NINE.9.nein///0oh0///1tootree4 instead of 999-000-1234?
It seems like it's a poor disguise if it's just to complicate the research process in one more way. Maybe it's to make the ad more memorable by being cute/stylish? I'm really curious what makes some providers chose to do this and others not.
..to quickly find out if a provider has reviews. By using words instead of numbers, she makes it harder for you to find out if she has reviews, which usually means she doesn't. See link...
Obviously, you are allowed to post a phone number on a Backpage ad so they are not doing this because it's against the Backpage rules to post a phone number.
Many girls on there are using their cell phone they use for other things so they don't want someone to be able to google the phone number and find out what they are doing.
But, surprise, surprise, once they get reviewed, the phone number will show up in search results along with a link to their ads. A lot of girls on Backpage don't know about TER and don't even realize they are getting reviewed (seriously).
The key to digging through the "cess pool" on Backpage is to search with the keywords "review," "reviews," and "reviewed." Most quality, reviewed ladies that also advertise on Backpage will include those words somewhere in their ads. Otherwise, you are stuck researching every phone number to see if there are any reviews which can be a very time-consuming process.
I advertise on Backpage and I regularly get guys who are members of Preferred411, Date-check and TER who found me from my ad on there rather than the ads I have posted on those sites. And I know I am not the only quality, reviewed lady who advertises on there. We just have to do a lot more work screening the responses we get from there than from other sources.
It may be a cesspool overall, but there are nuggets of gold on there if you take the time to look for them.
Many TER guys are snobs, or lazy and bash BP. Are there bad providers and b/s providers on BP, of course. Does BP have more than other malls, probably. Does it take a lot of effort to find a nugget on BP? yes. Are there nuggets on BP? YES. The bottomline, it's not what escort mall you find a provider. It's what you do with the information in the ad of a provider you find. I travel a great deal, I always check BP, long with many other sources, but wherever I find a provider, then I do my research. All the escort malls have rip off providers advertising on them. It's the nature of the hobby.
As a rule, avoid Backpage. The ratio of legitimate providers to women looking to rip you off there must be 150/1. You may get lucky and find the 1, but expect to have to sort through most if not all of the 150 to find her. And expect to waste gobs of money. You came to TER for a reason, I suspect that reason was to avoid getting ripped off while you are looking to get laid. Use the search utility to find a legitimate provider who meets your personalized age, performance and looks criteria.
Back when CL was still around, it was against the rules to post your phone # in your ad... so the girls would write out their phone # to get around this little dilemma... I was one of them. But toward the end, CL did away with this rule & BP has never had this rule. I think some get info from others & do this thinking they're not allowed to. But many others do it, as it makes it harder to copy and paste into Google to search their number.
