Because it just got moved here

I did a review for a provider I met in December, and the reviewer said they were delisted.  I was just curious what a provider would do to get delisted?  Does that mean they tried to bilk this system, or that the person ripped someone off etc?  I am curious as I was thinking or revisiting, but don't want to contact her and be diving into a hornets nest.

Some request it if and when they leave the biz.  Inappropriate posting or behavior, which includes a host of things that I'm not going to list, is probably the largest group of reasons.  Just because she is not on this site does not mean you can't contact her.  Her delisting may have nothing to do with her performance as a provider.

About all you can do is explore the situation, maybe by asking on your regional board if anyone knows anything about her, and have them PM you.  I would say procede cautiously in any case.

providers on the regional boards. Don't be surprised if your inquire is disapproved.

Just so you don't think that delisted providers are necessarily ones that are not safe and fun to see - one of the best, if not the best, experiance I had in this hobby was with a girl who was delisted. When I attempted to submit a review I was informed that she was. In her case I suspect it might have been her other career that might have been the reason.

My forgetfulness on that topic.  The post would not be approved if he mentioned the name of a delisted provider in it.  I guess the OP could make his inquiry w/o naming the provider and ask for PM's if anyone knows who she is.

This thread was on the Suggestion and Policy Board, and it got moved to the newbie board. As you can see, one of the posts on the thread suggested it get moved. (so even if you didn't see it on S & P, you can tell it didn't start here). I remember seeing it on the S&P board.

since I wasn't the mod there, I could not move it.  Anyway, I wasn't sure why it should be on the newbie board in the first place.

Thanks for clearing up the mystery.

and I know you couldn't move it, but I guess Dinglecherry felt it should be moved and admin agreed. I was surprised too when I saw it at the top of this board this morning, thinking this was an old thread (and seeing the 2/2 date) then remembered it was old on another board, but new to this one, thus the top of the page I guess:) Maybe it should have been moved to the general board, but we don't need to be playing "musicale threads," so I guess here is as good a place as any:)

but when I checked, only one is active.  The other reads just like delisted...  "Information is no longer available"

A lot of times there are providers with multiple profiles on TER. When someone discovers it and sends in problem report, the profiles get merged into one. That's probably what happened in your case. Not the same as delisting.

I never looked to see what the result was, but that's the answer I would expect you to get when a provider's multiple profiles are merged.
