I need a goal. I feel like a moron asking my previous ladies for referrals multiple times. Much like hobbiests feeling safe about seeing a provider after ___ reviews, is there a similar number after which providers feel comfortable seeing you without referrals?

for a reference.  Some ladies will only allow references if you have seen them within a certain period of time; like a year.

I don't think I understand your question. Are you asking at what point have you written enough reviews so that your review history is sufficient without the need to provide referrals?

The answer is there isn't. Most women don't accept a review history in lieu of referrals. Furthermore, for your security it is best that you not provide your reviewer name when contacting a lady.

many providers accept referrals from these sites so you do not always have to ask your provider friends for direct references. These sites let you build up a "resume"  if you will that gives you creds in the hobby.

Kinda like Visa, are those referral sites the "card accepted everywhere?" If that would be a better way behind the velvet ropes, might be something to seriously consider.

Accepted everywhere? Certainly not. But they can help, which can be vital when it is all a matter of degrees anyway.

Say you've seen ladies A, B, C, D and E. They have all verified that they have seen you on one of the referral sites. You go to book with providers F and G. If F is on cordial professional terms with some of the ladies you've already seen, when you give your referral site info and she see's that you have a history known to her, that might do it. Lady G doesn't know any of them, so she might ask for employment info or other additional information.

It is a cumulative statistical thing. The more positive feedback and sources of validation you can quickly, easily and politely provide, the smoother it is likely to go. But there are no guarantees, and each provider can screen in her own way, to whatever level gives her comfort and a feeling of security.
