Sorry for the newb question curious why some posts in a thread will have the date and time of the post in red and the others will be black????

Maybe they are posting from the red date district... PPPTTTBBBTTTHHHH!!!! Bad play on words I know.. Happy 2012. David.

Never answered satisfactorily. It appears to me that all of the date-time stamps start out black, but some change to red after a couple of days or so. I have never been able to figure out a repeatable pattern, and no authoritative answer has been provided.

that while the date stamp is black the OP can edit the post.

Once it changes to red the OP cannot edit the post.

Then what do you think it is?

I think my monitor has run out of black pixels and changes to red long enough refill.

Honestly, I have no idea or any more guesses.
