to have her PM or email you and ask you a question (give her the answer) you gave her that only you would know the answer. When you reply with the correct answer she will know it's you and not an imposter.

verify my own acct??

Still a newbie but an unusual question from provider…

Once I gave her my references and ter handle showing my whitelist and all she asks "how do I know its your acct?" Basically how can she verify that I actually am the owner of my handle. She mentioned that she was sorry but she had a bad experience w a client saying he was someone on ter but it wasnt him. Interesting question and mayb im slow but wasn't sure how to answer. Any thoughts? How can we make sure someone doesnt use our handle? Or basically just move on to another provider?

Send her a PM, if you got VIP.

That doesn't mean your you, just that it's your account. Look in to P411. and date check as well.

Now you said you provided references, so who knows what her screening methods are.

Or both! (and you can't just give your email address, you need to actually email from it)

Providers have a "search reviewer" area that has fields for both the screen name and the email address that guys can't see.

If I am emailed by a guy who gives his TER handle, first I search with the handle he gave me to see if he is a member and if he is whitelisted and to check for his reviews. Then I search with his email address to make sure it matches his handle so I know he is the same guy emailing me.
