I've been a provider for over year now, but I've always been curious..

Has anyone been to one of these meet and greets? Providers and clients
It might seem silly to ask, but what are they about?  
I was interested once, but I was a little hesitant because it seems like a risky gathering.  
What's you take? Please and thank you :)

Mostly because the sponsors usually do a very good job of screening people who are invited.

They can be a very good marketing tool as well as be fun if you enjoy gatherings.

They are just social events where potential clients and providers chat, eat, and drink.  I suppose if you find someone interested in seeing you, and you both have time, you can hook up after the Meet and Greet.  Messing around at the actual party is frowned upon
