With many of the "providers" websites I've seen, their "reservation form" demands you list your prior providers. How does one handle this if he HAS NO prior providers, i.e., he's trying this for the first time. Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can always join a prescreening service such as; date check, preferred 411 or room service 2000 (if you are in the midwest)...

Sin's advice is good.  Another option is to use an agency (most screen with less information) and then see if they or the provider will give you a reference.  Good luck.  We were all new to this hobby at one time or another.

Be upfront and sincere in explaining to the provider what your circumstances are.

Very often, a well written appeal will do the trick.

is to find a provider whose screening is less demanding, or does not require references from providers.  Yeah, that could be risky, but...

Some providers will work with you if you explain your newbie situation.

Good luck and happy hobbying,

On my first encounter over 5 years ago I had the same problem.  Just be upfront and nice and things will probably work out if you are dealing with a reasonable lady.
