when you select a companion: what do you prefer, a provider that works for an agency or an independent? and Why?

For the providers: Based on your experience why should I work independent and not work for an agency?

I've by far had the best times in this hobby with independent providers. I've found the agency girls have too many don'ts than do's and are more in it for the money.  I know not all agency girls are ripoffs but, I haven't found one yet.

of money to an agency ... when you can do it all yourself ...I always go with an Indie ... i see very little need for anyone to use an agency who has access to TER and/or the internet....

Normally provide an entry into the business for inexperienced provided that have not become savvy about the business. As one poster pointer out, if you are net savvy and know how to set up a website or get one set up for you, there is no need for an agency. Remember that you will have to develop a strong screening system if you go Indy to screen out riff-raff, because you will not have the muscle that an agency can sometimes provide to deal with ones that do you wrong. Pre-screen clients and LE well, provide good, hygienic, consistent service and think about the price level that you want to serve and you should do well.

Here's my take on the subject.. I have worked independent and for an agency.  My thought was that working for an agency would take the hassle and stress out of screening customers and would get me more customers.  That part seemed to be true, until the agency started doing well, getting more business, and taking a larger cut of my money.  So I was seeing more clients, and getting less money for my time.  Also, the agency just got shut down so I was obviously wrong about them screening well.  Now that I'm on my own, I get to choose the customers and they seem to appreciate the one on one attention they get right from the satrt of our initial contact. I charge lass than the agency did, but I'm a lot happier!  Good luck

Before I knew about TER, I got ripped off time and time again by agencies. This is the No. 1 reason I don't see girls from agencies. The No. 2 reason is that I prefer to see providers who are low-volume coz I wouldn't mind paying more to them for the enthsiasm and attention that I get from them. I heard that girls from agencies tend to see more clients per day. Not sure if I can get the enthusiasm from them. I'm more of a GFE kind of guy, don't care for wild sex like PSE. I think I'm likely to get the experience I'm looking for from indies.

Wow, you guys are tough on the agencies!  Whether you go Indie or Agency depends on how much of your own time you want to invest in this business other than "work" time.  I have been really disappointed by several indies as well as a couple of agencies even after looking on TER (not everyone is reviewed).  And some that I thought were Indies were agencies.  I have also had great experiences with a couple of agencies.  I would say if you choose the agenct route, try to screen them as much as you would screen a client on your own.  See if any of their other girls have been reviewed and how good the reviews are.  I'm not a provider, so I know nothing of how much time you would have to invest to do it all yourself, but research all of your options before making a decision.  Good Luck!
