hi guys :)  i'm new on this site, a friend referred me and told me i would be able to advertise here..   it's a little confusing to me, i'm not sure if there is a specific forum that the ladies use to advertise on?   i would appreciate any help/tips/advice for a newbie!

oh, and did i register right?  i'm not sure if there is a different registration form for girls vs guys...   is there a way to show by name that i'm a provider?

Does anyone else smell BACON?

thanks for the help!  and for the bacon comment - totally not true or anywhere close!  i'm new and a guy i met off another site recommeded i try this one.  he said the guys would be classier!  which i hope is true!

and i had another question:   is there a way to see all the responses to a post at the same time on one page?   the way i see it now, i have to click on one response, then go back and click the next one i wanna read...  it would be easier if i could see everything at the same time ya know?

What state are you in? It's prolly better for you to advertise in your regional forum. There are advertising guidelines at the following link:

There is a link at the top of this board to something called the Newbie Manual.  In it you will find information on how to use this site.  I suggest that you take some time and read it.

As for indicating that you are a provider, if you have a website or an ad on a website, you can link to it when ever you post, but only if you have a TER logo on that site.  The Newbie Manual will explain how to get one if you don't already.

In time, if you get reviews on here, you will have a profile page which you can have automatically linked to any post you put up.  That will also tip us off that you are a provider.

Best wishes.

You are allowed to post a maximum of one ad every 7 days on the Regional Board for the area that you are in (or going to be in if you are traveling there).

Once you have your first review, you will have a profile with a unique TER id number.  When that happens you can e-mail TER at [email protected] and ask them to link your TER user name to your profile.  In the e-mail tell them who you are, what your TER user name is, and what your TER profile id number is.  Be sure to send the e-mail from the same e-mail address that is listed in your TER profile (which should be the e-mail address in your ad and/or web site).  When your user name is linked to your profile the "See my TER reviews" link will automatically be next to your user name any time you post on a discussion board.

If you post an ad on a Regional discussion board and give a link to your personal web site, the web site must have the TER badge on the front page with that badge linked back to TER.

If you wish to show a photograph on your Regional discussion board ad post, the link below is to detailed instructions on how to do that.

Good luck, and we all look forward to reading your reviews.

thank you inspectormorse, very informative and helpful post..

i see the regional boards, but so far don't see my area listed.   i am in the inland empire area of california.. and wondering if i should use los angeles, san diego or orange county sections instead since i am close.  but do i have to choose only one?

My area isn't listed either, but a large city that's close to me is. I use it.

Once TER has approved your site, and you begin advertising, I would suggest trying one "close by" regional board per week. In your ad, or even in the subject line, you might say the general area where you provide your time.  Since you can only advertise once very 7 days, no matter how many regional boards are close to you, one board a week will give you a good indication where your client base will come from.

Welcome and good luck to you!
