i have been emailing back and forth with a provider for the past week. she intially asked for references but i dont have any. she said that it was ok and she suggested we get to know eather other and go from there. is it safe to book and oppointment with her. she does have reviws here but its only two and there more than a year apart. last review in july 2010. any suggestions?

As a newbie, you should only see gals with many reviews, and recent ones too.

If, however, you feel you must, at least make inquiries with the two guys who did review her (Do you have VIP so that you can do PMs?), and you can also ask by posting on the regional board and get some feedback that way.

It's better than nothing.

Last review is July 2010?  That's recent enough to be relevant.  You can try PMing the reviewer if you feel you need more info.  Only two reviews is iffy, so I would be a little hesitant.  On the other hand, if you are getting green lights in all other ways, it may be best to TOFTT.  Your decision, and if you go through with it and it works out, you owe it to her and to the rest of us to post that third review.  Good luck!

People like to know whom they are dealing with and to get a chain mail system going is fraught with complications.

I heartily suggest that you get VIP.  There is no substitute for reading reviews to know what you are getting.

Considering what it cost to hobby, it is a very good investment.

If you are too lazy or too cheap to fork over the twenty bucks for VIP, why should any of us do your leg work for you?

If you are too cheap to spend the twenty bucks, maybe this is the wrong hobby for you?

See whether she will agree to a half hour get to know date with you at a public place. If the date works out the two of you can move to the next level, if it does not, you're out of a half hour of her fee but aren't stuck for an awkward hour or more.

An alternative for you is to use highly rated agencies that will serve your needs with you giving them some personal information but without you needing references. Better agencies do provide references for you once they have worked with you as a client.

You don't have VIP, so you can't read her reviews, you can't see the number scores, Hell, you can't even see the listed services provided...

I know how it works, you were online looking at pics and "Little Soul" stood up and tapped you on the tummy and told you he wanted that one...
and so, you looked at absolutely useless information on TER and emails to make "little Soul" happy...

what you need to do though if you really wanna make your little friend happy is buy  a month of VIP and spend $20 to avoid being out $$$ and have your little buddy hard and outta luck.
