i have been emailing back and forth with a provider for the past week. she intially asked for references but i dont have any. she said that it was ok and she suggested we get to know eather other and go from there. is it safe to book and oppointment with her. she does have reviws here but its only two and there more than a year apart. last review in july 2010. any suggestions?
As a newbie, you should only see gals with many reviews, and recent ones too.
If, however, you feel you must, at least make inquiries with the two guys who did review her (Do you have VIP so that you can do PMs?), and you can also ask by posting on the regional board and get some feedback that way.

See whether she will agree to a half hour get to know date with you at a public place. If the date works out the two of you can move to the next level, if it does not, you're out of a half hour of her fee but aren't stuck for an awkward hour or more.
An alternative for you is to use highly rated agencies that will serve your needs with you giving them some personal information but without you needing references. Better agencies do provide references for you once they have worked with you as a client.
